It’s the final night of the blind auditions on “The Voice”. Ariana, John, and Blake each need one more artist to fill out their teams; while Kelly needs two more artists to fill out her team.
Wedding singer Aaron Hines gets the night of auditions started off with chair turns from Kelly, John, and Ariana. And Blake made it a four chair turn. John said that he loves Aaron’s voice; adding that he sounded like he knew what he was doing. Aaron starts singing “All of Me” and John joins in. Kelly also loved Aaron’s voice. Ariana said that Aaron’s tone almost stopped her in her tracks. Blake uses his, I know I’m not the obvious choice ploy to win Aaron over. Aaron chose fellow Texan Kelly Clarkson to be his coach.
The trio KCK3 caught Ariana’s attention quickly and had her up out of her chair very excited about what she was hearing. Following in the footsteps of their grandfather and father, the sisters are third generation singers and have been singing all of their lives.
Ariana’s team is full!
Montana native Tommy Edwards loves the outdoors but loves making music too and performs with his dad in a number of bands. This is the first time he will perform outside of his home state. After saying “I like that”, Blake pushed his button but John is going to give Blake a run for his money when he turns his chair near the end of the song. Kelly was looking for more range. Blake said that Tommy reminded him of the Black Crows. John said that Tommy really knows how to make his presence felt. Tommy chose Blake to be his coach.
Blake’s team is full!
Shadale has sung in church and performed in musical theatre. She has travelled the world performing Gospel music. Shadale got about three notes out before Kelly had her chair turned around. A short time later John Joined her. Blake was wishing he could add someone else to his team. John said that Shadale put on a show and energized the place; adding that he could see her in the finale. Kelly said that it was like a mix of Bruno Mars and Beyonce. Shadale chose John to be her coach.
John’s team is full!
Stop motion animator Joe McGuinness plays many instruments…but he can’t play the pipes. He says that music is a part of his soul. Kelly is the only coach with a spot remaining on her team but did not turn her chair for Joe.
In the final blind audition, Parker McKay has spent as much time as possible in musical theater until she moved to Nashville where she began performing pop music. It took a while but Kelly finally pushed her button for Parker to fill out her team. John called it a fun performance.
