This week on “The Voice” all of the coaches have used their blocks and will have to fight for the singers they want to fill out their teams. Kelly has seven artists on her team, John has eight artists on his team and Blake and Ariana both have nine artists each on their teams.
Kelly is the first person to push her button for Ryleigh Plank. Ariana joins Kelly in turning her chair. Ryleigh said that she grew up singing Kelly and Ariana’s songs. Ariana said that Ryleigh brought her to tears. John said that he noted there were some issues but he is looking forward to hearing what she can do. Kelly said that Ryleigh has an incredible voice. Ariana and Kelly battle using their gifts. Ryleight chose Ariana as her coach.
Jershika Maple is a security guard by day but is looking to make music her life. She was a backup singer for “The Voice” alum Rose Short on her tour and got a message of good luck before her audition. Near the end of the song, John and Kelly pushed their buttons at the same time. Ariana said that she loves Jershika’s voice. John said that Jershika was ready for this moment and hit the challenging high notes. Kelly loved Jershika’s spirit; adding that she will be an amazing addition to the show. The gifts come out. The Killeen, Texas resident chose Kelly to be her coach.
Manny Keith grew up in a musical house but didn’t start singing until he was 14. He joined a dance team before turning to singing. Blake pushed his button for Manny. John said that Manny has a lovely and inviting voice. Manny told Ariana that he is a big fan. Ariana said that there were moments that reminded her of JC Chasez’s voice. Blake said that Manny is an incredible singer and an entertainer.
Austin Percario is a former boy band member whose band had limited success. Austin failed to turn any chairs. Saying that she loved his voice, Ariana said that she could hear the nerves. John noted that it might have been better by changing the key. Kelly loved the tone of Austin’s voice.
KJ Jennings loves to wake surf to classic rock. KJ followed her mother into the theatre when she was six years old. It only took a few measures for John and Blake to push their buttons. Blake said that KJ has a really cool voice. Ariana loved KJ’s voice. John said that she is an adventurous singer; adding that he loves what she is doing. Saying that she is honoured that both of them turned for her, KJ chose John to be her coach.

Xavier Cornell got Kelly to turn her chair.
Libianca was born in the U.S. but was raised in Camaroon, West Africa where she was immersed in the music. She returned to the U.S. when she was 13. Ariana was quick to turn her chair. Blake followed shortly thereafter. Kelly called the performance beautiful; adding that she didn’t know why she didn’t turn. John noted that the song choice didn’t give them a chance to really hear Libianca’s voice. Ariana said that she was obsessed with Libianca. Blake noted that Libianca has so much control in her voice. Libiance chose Blake to be her coach.
Jared Brasher has played baseball since he was four years old but after being released from the Washington Nationals minor leagues, he turned to music and has never performed before a live audience. The Blind Audition will be his first ever gig. Jared failed to turn any chairs. Blake said that the performance felt like he never got comfortable. The coaches were shocked that this was Jared’s first performance.
A big fan of the show, Sophia Bromberg says that it is sureal that she is on the show. John, Kelly, and Ariana all pushed their buttons together. Ariana called the performance interesting and well controlled. John called the performance riveting. Kelly said that Sophia paints with her vocal chords. Blake said that he didn’t turn his chair to protect a folk singer on his team. Sophia chose Ariana to be her coach.
Singing “Mack the Knife”, Wyatt Michael impressed Kelly and Ariana and got them to turn their chairs. The audience was clapping along and cheered at the end. Wyatt used to play in a rock band with his brother but an introduction to Frank Sinatra by his mother showed him the way to go. While he loved the music, Blake thought there was something more that Wyatt needed; adding that one of the girls would bring it out. Ariana said that Wyatt took her back to the Frank Sinatra era. Kelly said that she loved Wyatt’s voice; adding that no one sounds like him. Wyatt chose Kelly to be his coach.
Alexandra Stojack says that singing and performing makes her happy. While the audience was clapping along, she failed to get any of the coaches to turn their chairs. Kelly said that she has a cool voice but there were some pitchy moments. Ariana noted that nerves got in the way. John encouraged Alexandra to come back.
In the final audition of the night, BritanyBree grew up singing in the church and has sung predominantly gospel music…until now. John and Ariana pushed their chairs together. Kelly joined them. John and Ariana were out of their chairs dancing. Blake made it the only four chair turn of the night on the last note of the song. Ariana called Britany unbelievable.
