The Camping World Truck Series kicks off a day of doubleheader racing and a triple header weekend at Talladega Superspeedway with the Chevy Silverado 250.

This is the second race in round two of the playoffs for the Truck Series. The race at Martinsville at the end of the month will determine the final four to race for the championship in Phoenix.

Matt Crafton is a three time Truck Series champion, but when it comes to winning a race on a super speedway he is 0 and 36.

Ben Rhodes sidts on the pole with Todd Gilliland alongside on the front row.

Codie Rohrbaugh missed driver introductions; as a result he will have to start the race from the back of the field.

Stages one and two of the race are 20 laps each with stage three lasting 54 laps for a total of 94 laps.

Ben Rhodes brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the inside lane and gets out in front for the lead with Matt Crafton on his bumper.

After leading laps one, Ben Rhodes leads his first ever lap at Talladega.

Lap two the top five are Ben Rhodes, Todd Gilliland, Matt Crafton, Stewart Friesen, and Austin Hill.

Ben Rhodes and Todd Gilliland swap the lead back and forth depending on which line gets out in front.

Bryan Dauzat was charged with a start violation and has to serve a pass through penalty. Dauzat started the race in 40th place.

Lap four, Ben Rhodes lead the race with Matt Crafotn in second; Austin Hill, Todd Gilliland, and John Hunter Nemechek round out the top five.

The drivers remain in the two wide format that they started the race with.

Lap six, Ben Rhodes holds on to the lead with Matt Crafton and Todd Gilliland swapping second back and forth with Austin Hill and John Hunter Nemechek rounding out the top five.

Lap 10, the leaders have gotten single file with the remainder of the field two wide.

Drivers come down pit road for service with several drivers taking fuel only. John Hunter Nemechek wins the race off of pit road. Todd Gilliand’s crew was working on his truck and was charged with having too many crew members over the wall.

John Hunter Nemechek brigns the field down for the green flag start fo stage two from the inside land with Matt Crafton on the outside. Crafton and Nemechek are nose to nose in a battle for the lead.

Crafton and Nemechek swap the lead back and forth as the y battle for the lead.

Lap 27, Matt Crafton gets out in front for the lead with Sheldon Creed in second; John Hunter Nemechek, Ben Rhodes, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Lap 28, Matt Crafton moves up to the top lane and again battle with John Hunter Nemechek for the lead.

The caution flag comes out on lap 29 when Bryan Dauzat is stopped on the track with some damage after getting loose and hitting the wall.

A few drivers come down pit road for service.

Ben Rhodes is reporting some handling issues. He hopes the crew can fix the problem during the next pit stop.

Matt Crafton gets off the track and Sheldon Creed takes the lead. He returns to the track in 10th place. Crafton reports that John Hunter Nemechek bumped him in the tri-oval.

Three to go, Sheldon Creed leads the race but John Hunter Nemechek crossed over lanes to take the lead with Johnny Sauter in second.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Austin Hill winning the race off of pit road after taking only two tires. Some drivers took four tires while other took fuel only.

Some of the drivers make a second trip down pit road to top off their fuel load. Drivers will have to make a pit stop during stage three for fuel.

After staying out on the track, Chase Purdy brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three from the inside lane on lap 48 with Austin Hill alongside. Austin Hill edges out to take the lead with Todd Gilliland in second; Brett Holmes, Zane Smith, and Sheldon Creed round out the top five.

Lap 49, Bett Holmes takes the lead briefly before Austin Hill takes the lead. The two drivers swap the lead back and forth.

An Alabama native, Brett Holmes lives only 15 minutes away from the track.

The drivers have finally created a third lane back in the field.

Lap 50, Austin Hill leads the race; Brett Holmes, Todd Gilliland, Zane Smith, and Chase Urdy round out the top five.

There are 36 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 52, Zane Smith is the new leader. Brett Holmes continues to battle for the lead and is swapping back and forth with Zne Smith.

Lap 53, Zane Smith leads the race iwht Sheldon Creed in second; Brett Holmes, Austin Hill, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out for “the big one” when Todd Gilliland and Austin Hill make contact and catching up nearly half of the field. The two drivers were in the top five at the time of the crash.

Hailie Deegan, Kris Wright, Jennifer Jo Cobb, Clay Greenfield, Tate Fogleman, Johnny Sauter, Tanner Gray, Austin Hill, Chandler Smith, Derek Kraus, Zane Smith, Austin Wayne Self, Jason White, Todd Gilliland, Lawless Alen, Drew Dollar, and Parker Kligerman were all involved in the crash. Only two playoff drivers were involved in the wreck.

NASCAR has red flagged the race in order to get the track cleaned up.

The cars are moving once again and are making pit stops.

All drivers involved in the crash have been checked and released from the infield care center and are fine.

The caution flag comes out for another big crash after Grant Enfinger tried to make his move to the front. Enfinger’s truck got airborne in a spin during the crash. Grant Enfinger, Haillie Deegan, Stewart Friesen, Willie Allen, Carson Hocevar, Sheldon Creed, and Clay Greenfield were alll involved in the crash. Two more playoff drivers were involved in the wreck.

Two to go, Chase Purdy takes the lead as the drivers get spread out across the field.

Chase Purdy brings out the caution flag after contact with Todd Gilliland with just two laps to go. The race goes into overtime.

With drivers wrecking, Tate Fogleman wins the race! This is Fogleman’s first Truck Series win.

Once again, a race winner has to visit the infield care center before going to victory lane.
