Like everything in 2020, the NASCAR Hall of Fame induction ceremonies were postponed until it was safe to hold the event.

NASCAR has announced that the induction of the 2021 Hall of Fame class will be inducted on January 21, 2022 at the Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Executive director of the NASCAR Hall of Fame Winston Kelley spoke on the announcement saying, “we are thrilled to celebrate these legends’ significant accomplishments and contributions to NASCAR alongside their families, friends and fans. The decision to postpone was very difficult but the right thing to do. With the planned evolution from five to three inductees with the Class of 2021, NASCAR and the NASCAR Hall of Fame teams saw an opportunity to take a fresh look at our schedule of events for Induction Weekend and are excited about what we have created. It’s always a special time for each honoree and their families and friends and will be a truly memorable weekend for our fans and guests alike.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr joins his father Dale Sr in the Hall of Fame this year; along with Red Farmer and Mike Stefanik. The Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR goes to Ralph Seagraves.

After opening in 2010, the 2021 class of inductees is the 12th group of inductees into the Hall of Fame and bringing the total members to 58. This is the first year that just three new members were chosen.

A 15 time most popular driver award winner, Dale Earnhardt Jr is the third generation of Earnhardts to race in NASCAR. Junior was a driver, is a car owner in the Xfinity Series, and is one of the broadcasters for NASCAR events at NBC.

Red Farmer is an original member of the group known as the Alabama Gang. One of the 50 Greatest Drivers in NASCAR, Farmer raced well into his 80’s.

One of the Modified Tour’s 10 Greatest Drivers, Mike Stefanik holds the record for most wins, poles, top fives, and top tens.

The Hall of Fame ceremonies will feature three days of events including the ceremony itself, an exclusive insiders experience, a brunch event with NASCAR Hall of Famers and behind-the-scenes looks at pieces of racing history.

Tickets for the weekend events will go on sale to the general public on October 7 at 10am local time and are $150 per person for the induction ceremony itself.
