The athletes at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics continue to add to the medal count as 78 countries now have medal winners in the Summer Games.
The People’s Republic of Chine continue their lead of both the gold medals with 54 and the total medal count with 119.
The United States holds on to fourth place in the gold medal count with 18, but are fifth in the overall standings with 49
The Paralympic games have so many more medals then the Olympics due to classifications of the athletes in an effort to pair athletes of like abilities together and to keep the games fair.
