After three days of competition in the Tokyo Paralympics, hundreds of medals have been passed out to athletes from 50 nations. There are many more medals awarded despite fewer events in the Paralympics due to the numerous classifications for the athletes.
The People’s Republic of China holds on to the lead in gold medals with 19 and the overall medal count with 43. The United States moves up one more spot with seven gold medals but is in seventh with 14 medals overall.
