On Saturday, August 7 the Camping World Truck Series returned to Watkins Glen International for some road course racing after an absence of over 20 years. It was the final race of the regular season for the Truck Series.
Thanks to multiple wins by Kyle Busch and his driver John Hunter Nemechek, Toyota leads the competition for the manufacturers title with eleven wins and 537 points; Chevrolet follows with one win and 476 points. Ford has two wins but is 103 points behind with 434 points.
With five wins this season in his return to Truck Series racing, John Hunter Nemechek has been crowned the winner of the regular season with 605 points. Nemechek leads in the point standings with 2,049 points after the points were reset for the 10 playoff drivers.
Only five of the 10 playoff drivers won races this season.
