Day 13 of the Tokyo Summer Olympics brought the biggest haul of medals for the American athletes when the United States added a dozen medals to their count.

Grenada, Burkina Faso, and the Bahamas earned their first medal of these Olympic games, making 88 nations to win a medal at the Tokyo Summer Olympic games.

The People’s Republic of China continues to lead the race in the gold medal count with 34. But the United States has jumped to a total of 91 medals – 29 gold, 35 silver, and 27 bronze – to take the lead by 15 over China.
