On day 12 of the Tokyo Summer Olympics, more sports wind down as the end of the games are just a few days away. Many of the team sporting events have reached the semifinals.

The People’s Republic of China did not add to their gold medal count on Tuesday, but continue to hold on to the lead in gold medals with 32. The United States has expanded their lead in the overall medal count with 79 – 25 gold, 31 silver, and 23 bronze.

Winning their first medal of the Tokyo games, Syria adds their name to the list of medal winers.
