On day seven of the Tokyo Summer Olympic games the People’s Republic of China retakes the lead in the gold medal race with 19; but the United States continue the over all lead after adding three more medals to their totals with 41 – 14 gold, 16 silver, and eleven bronze.

As the first week of the Olympics comes to a close, Greece, Azerbaijan, and Uganda add their names to the parade of medal winning nations.
