After five days of competition in the Tokyo Summer Olympic games a total of 57 countries have their names on the medal list.  Tuesday Ireland, Venezuela, Poland, and Fiji add their names to the medal count.

Host country Japan continues to lead the way in the gold medal count with 13, but the United States holds the overall medal count with 31 – eleven gold, eleven silver, and nine bronze.
