The band’s founder and a major songwriter, Jordison left the band in 2013. Jordison noted that leaving the band was due to the neurological disorder transverse myelitis; which left him unable to play. Transverse myelitis is an inflammation of the spinal cord that affects how nerve messages are sent and received.

He is also a member of the band Murderdoolls where he plays guitar, bass, and drums.

He was born Nathan Jonas Jordison on April 26, 1975 in Des Moines, Iowa.
