The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Nashville Supersppedway after nearly 40 years to cap off a triple header weekend for the Ally 400.
On Saturday, Cup Series driver Kyle Busch made history by winning his 100th race to become only the third driver in NASCAR history to win at least 100 races.
Before the drivers take to the track for 400 miles of racing, they make a single lap around the track to qualify for the race. Thirty-nine drivers will vie for a starting spot in the race.
Ross Chastain is the first driver on the track and sets the mark at 30.003 seconds around the 1.33 mile track.
With a qualifying time of 29.557 seconds, Aric Almirola sits on the pole for his third career pole and will bring the field to green. Kyle Busch starts alongside on the front row.
After the qualifying process, NASCAR officials have moved three drivers to the back of the field due to unapproved adjustments. Set to start in the top 10, William Byron and Erik Jones will join Quin Houff at the back of the field for the start of the race. Houff failed to make a full qualifying lap and was already at the back of the field.

In the past 41 days, Hendrick Motorsports has won all of the Cup Series races, led by driver of the number five car Kyle Larson.
After a rip roaring command to start the engines from Country music superstar Luke Combs, the packed house cheered and the sound of racing engines filled the air.
Stage one is 90 laps, stage two is 95 laps, and stage three lasts 115 laps for a total of 300 laps around the 1.33 mile track. Drivers can run around 70 laps on a single load of fuel.
Ryan Blaney has some damage to his car and will have to come down pit road for repairs before the green flag drops. Blaney will start the race from the back of the field.
Aric Almirola brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane with Kyle Busch alongside. Chase Elliott immediately makes it a three wide battle for the lead. Quin Houff gets into the fence and has one of his tires rolling around the track bringing out the first caution flag of the race. Going into the turn, Houff slammed into the wall.

Lap 73, Kyle Larson continues to increase his lead and is now nearly two seconds in front of Chase Elliott.
Lap 76, Kyle Larson is two and a half seconds in front of Chase Elliott. Kyle Busch drops out of the top five into sixth place after Aric Almirola gets around him.
The fourth caution flag comes out when Justin Haley and Chris Buescher both get into the wall under separate events. Chris Buescher said that he ran over something.
Many of the drivers come down pit road for service including leader Kyle Larson. Chase Elliott stayed out on the track and is the new leader.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr got loose and nearly hit Kurt Busch, but he saved the car and the track stays green. The duo continue to battle and Stenhouse makes contact with Busch and nearly sends Kurt Busch into the wall.

Denny Hamlin’s team reports that the 10th place driver cannot make it to the end of the race on fuel.
