Last week in the debut of the SRX Racing Series in Stafford, Connecticut, home town hero Doug Cory took home the trophy after beating out the Hall of Famers and legends for the win.

This week the legends return for some dirt track racing at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa.

After a random draw, Tony Stewart will sit on the pole for tonight’s race.

Heats one and two are 12 minutes each with the field inverted after heat one. The lineup for the 50 lap main feature will be determined by the average finish of each heat.

Bill Elliott noted that he is having the same issue as they had in Stafford last week – a fuel pump issue. Elliott noted that they are going to try and get back on the track and make a few laps.
