This week NASCAR returns home to Charlotte, North Carolina and Charlotte Motor Speedway for a triple header weekend that marks the Memorial Day weekend and honours the nations military members. Each of the windshields in the race this weekend will carry the name of a fallen military member.

After a short rain shower cancelled qualifying, NASCAR has set the field for the Camping World Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 according to the formula that was created last year when the pandemic cancelled practices and qualifying rounds.

After winning the inaugural race at Circuit of the Americas, Todd Gilliland sits on the pole with Sheldon Creed starting alongside on the front row.

Thirty eight teams brought trucks to the track. Ad the trucks been able to qualify, only 36 of them would have made the field; however, since there was no qualifying, all 38 trucks will run in the race.

This is the final race of the Triple Truck Challenge where the race winner will win an additional $50,000. Sheldon Creed and Todd Gilliland won the first two races in the challenge.
