New York state Governor Andrew Cuomo is slowly opening the state to entertainment events and allowing crowds to gather and enjoy those events.

In an outdoor socially distanced event, New York City’s Bryant Park has scheduled 25 live performances to begin this June.

Members from the New York Philharmonic will kick off Bryant Park Presents Shakespeare Bryant Park Presents in a four night event for a summer of dance, music, and theatrical productions.

Chris Thile will close out the summer of events on September 20 for the 100th anniversary celebration of “The Town Hall.

In between, productions from Carniege Hall, Lincoln Center, the New York City Opera, the Classical Theatre of Harlem, Joe’s Pub. The Paul Taylor Dance Company, th Limon Dance Company, “Elisa Monte Dance, National Sawdust, the Harlem Stage, the Greenwich House Music School, Music from the Sole, and the New York Chinese Cultural Center will all take the Bryant Park stage.

While all events are free and open to the public; but those interested in attending must register ahead of time and will be limited due to Covid protocols.  However, fans who are unable to attend the performances live, can stream them and are encouraged to picnic in their local parks as they watch.
