The  Pro Invitational Series opens the 2021 season of eNASCAR iRacing at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 24 for a little Wednesday night racing on the virtual dirt.

Just like a normal dirt track race, Bristol on the virtual dirt begins with qualifying races, heat races, and a feature race.

Over three dozen current and past drivers will compete for 21 spots in the 70 lap feature race.

There are three qualifying heats with the top seven drivers from each heat moving on to the 70 lap feature race.

 Joey Logano earned the pole for the first heat race.

Thirteen drivers will compete in a 20 lap no caution race number one.

After the green flag start, Christopher Bell gets out in front for the lead with James Davison in second; Kyle Larson, Timmy Hill, Justin Haley, Joey Logano, and Chase Elliott are the seven drivers set to move on to the main race.

Lap six of 20, Christopher Bell holds on to the lead; Kyle Busch has moved up to seventh place to be the last drivers moving on.

Lap 10, halfway, Christopher Bell has led every lap so far with James Davison in second.

Lap 12, James Davison passes Christopher Bell to take the lead..

Drivers are getting slideways on every lap as they work their way around the half mile track.

Five to go, James Davison has a one second lead on Christopher Bell.

Last lap, James Davison has a half second lead on Christopher Bell with Kyle Larson in third.

Chris Buescher sits on the pole for heat race number two.

William Byron gets out in front for the lead after the drop of the green flag with Chris Buescher in second; Ross Chastain, Michael McDowell, Bubba Wallace, Denny Hamlin and Quin Houff are the drivers set to move on to the main race.

Lap five, William Byron has pulled out to a lead of over a second and a half on Chris Buescher.

Lap 10, William Byron continues to lead with Chris Buescher in second.  Clint Bowyer and Dale Earnhardt JR are in ninth and tenth below the cut line.

Five to go, William Byron continues to lead the race with Chris Buescher in second; Michael McDowell, Anthony Alfredo, Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace, and Quin Houff are the top seven drivers.  Martin Truex Jr, Denny Hamlin, and Ryan Newman are all one lap down.

In heat number three Garrett Smnithley sits on the pole.

Garrett Smithley takes the lead after the drop of the green flag with Ryan Preece in second; Corey LaJoie, Alex Bowman, Tyler Reddick, Joey Gase, and Erik Jones are currently the cares set to advance to the feature race.

Lap seven, Garrett Smithley continues to lead the race with Ryan Preece in second.  Matt DiBenedetto has moved in to seventh place – the last car to move on.

Lap 12, Garrett Smithley has led every lap so far with Ryan Preece in second.  Ricky Stenhouse Jr is one lap down and BJ McLeod is three laps down.

Five to go, Garrett Smithley has a narrow lead on Ryan Preece with Tyler Reddick in third.

Lap 16, Ryan Preece and Garrett Smithley battle for the lead; while Matt DiBenedetto and Austin Dillon battle for the transfer spot.

Ryan Preece takes the lead and takes the white flag.

The drivers get two “resets” for the race where they can “reset” or fix damage to their cars.  The race is 70 laps in length and caution flags do count.

James Davison is on the pole and will bring the field to green.  William Byron starts alongside on the front row.

James Davison gets out in front for the lead with William Byron is second; Ryan Preece, Michael McDowell, and Chris Buescher round out the top five.

Lap four, Quin Houff is one lap down.

Lap six, James Davison has a lead of nearly a second on William Byron;, Ryan Preece, Michael McDowell, and Chris Buescher round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out for a wreck involving several drivers.  Corey LaJoie, Alex Bowman, and Joey Logano were all involved.

James Davison brings the field down for the green flag restart with William Byron alongside on lap 17 and holds on to the lead.

Lap 19, Chris Buescher leads the race with James Davison in second; Kyle Busch is one lap down and Anthony Alfredo is two laps down.

Lap 23, the top five are Chris Buescher, James Dasvison, Ryan Preece, William Byron, and Tyler Reddick.

Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick were originally scheduled to participate in the race but had some scheduling conflicts; as a result, Timmy Hill is behind the wheel of the number two car.

Lap 32, William Byron takes the lead.

Lap 40, the caution flag comes out for a wreck with William Byron in the lead.

William Byron brings the field down for the green flag restart with Tyler Reddick alongside with 20 laps to go.

The top five are William Byron, Chris Buescher, Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell, and James Davison.

Commentating while he is racing, Joey Logano noted that it takes about three laps to establish a rhythm.

With 15 laps to go, William Byron has a lead of nearly a second on Tyler Reddick.

The caution flag comes out for Corey LaJoie after contact with Joey Gase.

William Byron brings the field down for the green flag restart with seven laps remaining in the race.  Drivers get slideways all through the field.

Five to go, William Byron has a lead of over half a second on Christopher Bell; Tyler Reddick, Garrett Smithley, and James Davison round out the top five.

Three to go, William Byron is now a second and a half on Tyler Reddick.

William Byron takes the white flag.

William Byron wins the race for his second Bristol iRacing win in a row.  Byron wins a $5,000 prize for his charity of choice.
