As the Covid-19 restrictions drag on, artists continue to put tour plans on hold.  But rocker Steve Wynn has planned a tour of another sort…a virtual tour.

Keeping it in the family with his wife Linda Pitmon on drums, the “Impossible Tour” begins January 17 and “travel” to 13 cities around the world.

The performances will actually take place at their rehearsal space “The Chimp Factory” in Queens but the duo will be performing the shows as if they were actually in the advertised city.

Speaking on his upcoming “tour”, Wynn said, “2020 was the first year that I spent mostly off the road, and I felt it was time to get back out there. For the Impossible Tour, I’ll be playing back-to-back shows every Friday – one in Europe and then, a few hours later, one in the U.S.”

Wynn will be using StageIt as his performance/streaming platform which will allow him to appear to paly a show in the U.S. and then another in Europe a few hours later; all without leaving the comfort of his home…er, rehearsal studio.

The brick and mortar venues will sell tickets for their respective virtual shows just as they would for a live show and receive compensation for the tickets sold.

Wynn continued, “I was hoping to simulate normalcy until normalcy is normal again, and it’s a way to help out favorite venues who are struggling mightily at the moment, just like artists who make their living from touring are. It is my hope, too, that the venues will also enjoy the fun of putting on, promoting, and hosting a show.”
