Anthony Alfredo is the latest Xfinity Series driver to make the jump to the NASCAR Cup Series for the 2021 season.
Front Row Motorsports signed Alfredo will driver the number 38 car, previously driven by John Hunter Nemechek who left the team at the end of the 2020 season. He will be joining Michael McDowell, who drives the number 34 car, as the second full time driver for Front Row Motorsports.
After retiring from full time driving, David Ragan will join the FRM drivers for the Daytona 500 on February 14.
Known as “Fast Pasta”, Alfredo spoke on his new ride via a statement saying, “this is really an unbelievable moment. When you start out racing karts as a kid, you dream of making it to the sport’s top level. I want to thank Bob Jenkins and everyone at Front Row Motorsports for making this dream a reality. I know the challenges ahead, but I’m here to work hard and prove myself.”
Alfredo will qualify for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year honours in the coming season.
