While the NFL continue to battle with an outbreak of  the Covid-19 virus, some of the teams have other issues to deal with including injuries…and a suspension.

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller has been suspended six games for violating the League’s drug policy.

With five games remaining in the season, Fuller’s year is over.  He will also have to miss the first game of next season.

Announcing his suspension on Instagram, Fuller said that he had taken a medication that he thought was allowed by the league; only to learn later that it was not.

“As a result of this mistake, I have been suspended for six games for taking this prohibited medication.  I want to sincerely apologize to the Texans organization and all of my fans for this mistake. I am looking forward to putting this all behind me and returning better than ever in 2021,” Fuller said.

In the eleven games played this season, Fuller had caught 53 passes for 879 yards with eight touchdowns.  He is currently in the last year of his rookie contract.
