The Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series kicks off a double header day of racing at Texas Motor Speedway with the SpeedyCash.com 400.

Sheldon Creed sits on the pole and will bring the field to  green with Kansas winner Brett Moffitt alongside on the front row.

Brett Moffitt has clinched his spot in the final four after winning the race at Kansas Speedway last week, but Ben Rhodes and Tyler Ankrum are in a must win situation if they hope to race for a championship in two weeks.

Fifteen points below the cut line, reigning Truck Series champion Matt Crafton is also in a must win situation if he hopes to battle for a repeat as the champ.  Crafton is the only driver in the field who has a win at Texas.

Grant Enfinger is the fourth driver below the cut line and in danger of being eliminated after the race next week.

Stages one and two are 35 laps each with stage three lasting 77 laps for a total of 147 laps around the mile and a half track.

On an overcast day with temps around 60 degrees, Sheldon Creed brings the 37 truck field down for the green flag start of the race from the inside lane and after a push from Austin Hill, Creed takes the lead.

Lap two, Sheldon Creed leads the race, Austin Hill, Chandler Smith, Brett Moffitt, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Lap six, Sheldon Creed holds on to the lead with Austin Hill in second; Brett Motffitt, Chandler Smith, and Derek Kraus round out the top five.

Lap 13, Sheldon Creed continues to lead the race with Austin Hill in second and Brett Moffitt in third; Chandler Smith and Derek Kraus round out the top five.

The eight playoff drivers are in the top 12 with 33 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 17, the top three drivers – Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill, and Brett Moffitt – are only haf a second apart.

Lap 21, Sheldon Creed has pulled out to a one second lead on Austin Hill with Brett Moffitt in third; Chandler Smith and Derek Kraus round out the top five.

There are 30 truck on the lead lap.

Lap 25, Sheldon Creed has a lead of over a second on Austin Hill; Brett Moffitt, Chandler Smith, and Be Rhodes round out the top five.


Seven of the eight playoff drivers are in the top 10 with Tyler Ankum in twelfth.

With seven laps remaining in stage one, Sheldon Creed has led every lap so far and has a one second lead on Austin Hill; Brett Moffitt, Ben Rhodes, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.  There are 24 trucks on the lead lap with all 37 drivers still in the race.

Three laps remain in stage one; Austin Hill has closed the gap on leader Sheldon Creed to under a second; Brett Moffitt, Ben Rhodes, and Matt Crafton round out the top five.

Tim Viens brings out the first caution flag of the race when he hits the wall with just two laps remaining in stage one.

With stage one ending under caution, Sheldon Creed wins the stage for his tenth stage win of the season.

Drivers come down pit road for service and adjustments with Sheldon Creed winning the race off of pit road after taking fuel only.

Sheldon Creed brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two from the inside lane on lap 41 and gets out in front for the lead after a push from Brett Moffitt.

Sheldon Creed is the leader; Austin Hill, Ben Rhodes, Matt Crafton and Brett Moffitt round out the top five.

Christian Eckes takes fifth from Brett Moffitt.

Ryan Truex was penalized for a restart violation and will have to serve a pass through penalty.

The caution flag comes out on lap 43 when Clay Green field gets into the wall.  Greenfield’s truck is stuck with the driver’s side againt the wall.  He had flames coming out from under the car when he hit the inside wall.  Greenfield is out of his truck and walks to the ambulance for a ride to the car center.

NASCAR has red flagged the race to get the track cleaned up.

After a red flag condition of six minutes, NASCAR displays the yellow flag and the trucks get moving once again.

Tyler Ankrum brought his truck down pit road for some adjustments; saying that the truck was too tight and riding too high.

Sheldon Creed brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane on lap 49 with Ben Rhodes on the inside.  After going side by side, Ben Rhodes edges out for the lead from the inside lane.

Lap 50, Sheldon Creed retakes the lead with Matt Crafton in second; Ben Rhodes, Zane Smith, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 53 for a crash involving Tate Fogleman who has some significant damage to the rear of his truck after hitting the wall.

Sheldon Creed brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane with Matt Crafton alongside on lap 58.  Creed and Crafton make contact as they battle for the lead with Sheldon Creed taking the lead.

Lap 59, the top five are Sheldon Creed, Matt Crafton, Zane Smith, Chandler Smith, nad Derek Kraus.

Lap 64, the top five are Sheldon Creed, Matt Crafton, Zane Smith, Derek Kraus, and Ben Rhodes.

Lap 66, there are 22 trucks on the lead lap with three trucks out of the race and two off the track.

Lap 69, Matt Crafton has taken the lead with Sheldon Creed in second.

Matt Crafton wins stage two for his first stage win of the season.

Drivers bring their trucks down pit road for service with Matt Crafton winning the race off of pit road; folowed by Sheldon Creed.

The teams were given four sets of tires for today’s race.  With a stage length of 77 laps the drivers cannot complete stage three without making a pit stop for fuel.

One of the tires that came off of Matt Crafton’s truck had a big blister on it.  Crews are checking the tire and hope it “just a fluke”.

Matt Crafton has placed in the top 10 at a Texas race 18 times – 10 of them in a row.

Matt Crafton brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three from the outside lane on lap 78 with Sheldon Creed on the inside.  Sheldon Creed gets out in front for the lead with Matt Crafton in second and Ben Rhodes in third.

Lap 80, Sheldon Creed leads the race with Matt Crafton in second; Christian Eckes, Brett Moffitt, and Ben Rhodes round out the top five.

Lap 85, Sheldon Creed continues to dominate the race with a third of a second lead on Matt Crafton; Christian Eckes, Ben Rhodes, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.

Lap 87, Matt Crafton has closed the gap on leader Sheldon Creed to just a quarter of a second.

Lap 90, Sheldon Creed has pulled out to a lead of nearly half a second on Matt Crafton; Christian Eckes, Ben Rhodes, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 92 after Grant Enfinger has an issue with his engine and brings his smoking truck down pit road.  Enfinger is in the playoffs but below the cut line.

With 55 laps to go, the drivers are at the edge of their pit window for fuel.

Drivers bring their trucks down pit road for service.  After taking fuel only Derek Kraus and Dylan Lupton win the race off of pit road.

Zane Smith had to make a second trip down pit road for a loose tire.

Grant Enfinger is out of the race with an engine issue.

Austin Hill also makes a second trip down pit road to address an issue.

Sheldon Creed and Derek Kraus bring the field down for the green flag restart on lap 97 with Creed getting out in front for the lead.

Lap 97, the top five are Sheld on Creed, Christian Eckes, Derek Kraus, Ben Rhodes, and Matt Crafton.

With Grant Enfinger’s engine issues, Matt Crafton is now above the cut line by two points.

Lap 100, Sheldon Creed leads the race; Christian Eckes, Matt Crafton, Derek Kraus, and Ben Rhodes round out the top five.

Matt Crafton takes second place from Christian Eckes.

Lap 103, Sheldon Creed has a lead of just under half a second on Matt Crafton; Christian Eckes, ohnny Sauter, and Todd Gilliland round out the top five with 23 trucks on the lead lap.

The caution flag comes out on lap 106 when Todd Gillialnd and Ben Rhodes make contact sending Gilliland into the wall.  The duo were battling for fifth at the time of the crash.  Brett Moffitt narrowly escapes hitting Gilliand as he moves across the track.

Grant Enfinger reports that his truck “just blew up”.

Derek Kraus brings his truck down pit road for tires.

Sheldon Creed brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with 35 laps to go with Matt Crafton alongside on the outside lane.  Crafton has dropped below the cut line with minus two points.  After a push from Christian Ecked, Sheldon Creed gets out in front but is getting a challenge for the lead; Stewart Friesen makes it a three wide battle.

The caution flag comes out with 31 laps to go when Chandler Smith gets into the wall after spinning out.  Smith made contact with Tanner Gray before the crash.

After making a pit stop, the left rear tire coms off of Chandler Smith’s truck.

Sheldon Creed brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with Stewart Friesen on the outside with 25 laps remaining in the race.  Creed has led 104 of the 123 laps in today’s race.  With a push from Matt Crafton, Sheldon Creed gets out in front for the lead as drivers are getting three wide battling for position.

With 24 to go, Sheldon Creed has a narrow leadon Stewart Friesen; Johnny Sauter, Brett Moffitt, and Austin Hill round out the top five.

With 22 laps to go, Stewart Friesen takes the lead.  Sheldon Creed drops to fourth place.

Twenty to go, the top five are Stewart Friesen, Johnny Sauter, Sheldon Creed, Brett Moffitt,and Austin Hill.

After taking last week off from the Truck Series, Stewart Friesen has a narrow lead on Johnny Sauter.

Johnny Sauter and Stewart Freisen bring out the eighth caution flag when they wreck in a battle for the lead. Third place driver Sheldon Creed takes the lead.

After hitting the wall, Stewart Friesen is out of the race.  Johnny Sauter is able to continue running.

With only 12 laps remaining in the race, Sheldon Creed brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with Brett Moffitt alongside.  Sheldon Creed gets a push from Austin Hill to jump out in front.  Drivers are gett in three wide across the track.

The top five are Sheldon Creed, Ben Rhodes, Austin Hill, Brett Moffitt, and Christian Eckes.

Ten to go, Sheldon Creed leads the way with Ben Rhodes in second; Austin Hill, Christian Eckes, and Brett Moffitt round out the top five.

Christian Eckes takes second form Ben Rhodes who drops to fifth in a battle for position.

Eight to go, the top five are Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill, Christian Eckes, Ben Rhodes, and Brett Moffitt.

Austin Hill challenges Sheldon Creed for the lead but Creed holds him off.

Six to go, Ben Rhodes moves into third.

Five to go, Sheldon Creed has a narrow lead on Austin Hill; Ben Rhodes, Christian Eckes, and Brett Moffitt round out the top five.

Three to go, Christian Eckes and Ben Rhodes battle for third.

Christian Eckes brings out the caution flag when he gets into the wall after making contact with Ben Rhodes as Austin Hill takes the lead form Sheldon Creed.

The race is going into overtime.

After hitting the wall hard, Christian Eckes is slow to get out of his truck but walks to the ambulance.

Ben Rhodes has to bring his truck down pit road giving up third place after the wreck with Christian Eckes.  Rhodes is currently 43 points below the cut line.

Austin Hill on the outside lane.  Sheldon Creed and Austin Hill go side by side in a battle for the lead, but a push from team nate Brett Moffitt puts  Creed out in front for the lead.

Sheldon Creed takes the white flag.

With a crash on the backstretch, the race ends under caution with Sheldon Creed winning his fourth race of the season and clinches his spot in the final four.
