It’s week four on “Dancing with the Stars” and 13 couples remain to dance for fan votes.

‘The show opens with the celebrities spoke about “a problem” – judges comments.

Nelly and Daniella get the night of dancing started off with a Paso Doble to the music of DJ Khalid. Carrie Ann has asked Nelly to “break out” because he has been “too safe”. A pumped up Derek said that he enjoyed the performance; adding that it was a great way to start the show. Bruno noted that Nelly went for it; adding that Nelly had the power but needs to refine the artistry. Carrie Ann said that was what she was looking for; adding that he didn’t miss a step and it was an improvement. Nelly and Daniella scored 21 points for their dance. That was Nelly’s first sevens and his highest score so far.

Chrishell and Gleb danced a Foxtrot to the music of Harry Styles. Bruno said that it was almost too hot to trot; adding that she lost a bit of footwork. Carrie Ann said that she was proud of Chrishell; adding that she has so much potential. Derek noted that Chrishell looked so much more comfortable; adding it was her best dance. Chrishell and Gleb scored 22 points for their dance.

Monica and Val perform a Samba to “Party in the U.S.A.”. Carrie Ann said that they are formidable partners; adding that Monica looked like she was having fun. Derek noted that it was a proper Samba and her best dance. Bruno wanted to join the party; adding that he was impressed that it was a real Samba. Monica and Val scored 24 points for their dance for her first eights and highest score of the season.

Anne and Keo perform a Paso Dobe to the music of Katy Perry. Anne opened the dance solo. Derek said that Anne was so much more in control. Bruno called Anne a multi-coloured warrior; adding it was the most focused performance to date. Carrie Ann called Anne inspiring. Anne and Keo scored 21 points for their dance for her highest score of the season.

Nev and Jenna Rumba to the music of Celine Dion. Nev is dedicating the dance to his wife Laura. Bruno said that it felt like a romantic dream set to music. Carrie Ann said that Nev gave excellent frame and added poetry to the dance; adding the couple was like a vision. Derek called it a beautiful Rumba; adding that he loved it. Nev and Jenna scored 24 points for their dance.

Attired in hot pink Justina and Sasha Salsa. Justina dedicated the dance to her grandmother who immigrated to the U.S. from Puerto Rico. Carrie Ann noted that they got them all on their feet; adding she felt like she was at Justina’s house. Noting that the dance was so much fun, Derek said that Justina was authentic. Bruno said that Justina was on fire; adding the hips don’t lie. Justina and Sasha scored 24 points for their dance for their best score so far.

Kaitlyn and Artem dance a Viennese Waltz to the music of Luke Combs. Derek called the performance beautiful, elegant, and stunning. Bruno compared the movement to a feather. Carrie Ann said that Kaitlyn is an excellent dancer and magical. Kaitlyn and Artem scored 25 points with the first nine of the season.

Johnny and Britt Jive to “Crocodile Rock” by Sir Elton John. Bruno said that Johnny was in full throttle; adding that he was exploding out there. Carrie Ann called the dance incredible and fantastic. Derek echoed his fellow judges; adding that Johnny opened up on the dance floor tonight. Johnny and Britt scored 24 points for their dance.

Jeannie and Brandon Tango to the White Stripes. Carrie Ann said that it was so good. Derek noted that Jeannie’s focus was so good. Bruno loves the way Jeannie can switch her personality to fit the dance. Jeannie and Brandon scored 21 points for their dance.

Vernon and Peta Rumba to the music of Al Green and dedicates it to his Grandmother who raised him. Derek said that the dance brought him joy; adding that it was beautiful. Bruno noted that Vernon gets better every week. Carrie Ann noted that Vernon understands momentum in movement…and the hip action. Carrie Ann said that there is a poety to Vernon. Vernon and Peta scored 22 points for their dance.

Jesse and Sharna Cha Cha to “Smooth” by Santana. Bruno said that Jesse drives him crazy; adding that he forgot the hips; adding he isn’t quite there yet. Carrie Ann noted that the musicality is better but wants to see a more relaxed Jesse. Derek noted that Jesse was much better this week. Jesse and Sharna scored 21 points for their dance.

Skai and Alan Foxtrot to the music of John Legend and dedicated the dance to her former co-star Cameron who died last year after bad seizure. Derek said that it was his favourite dance of the night; adding that she is a gorgeous Ballroom dancer. An emotional Carrie Ann said that Skai was like and angel; adding that it was perfection. Bruno called the performance stunning; adding that her poise was regal. Skai and Alan scored 28 points with the first 10 of the season from Carrie Ann.

Closing out the night of dance is AJ and Cheryl Cha Cha to the music of one of his own songs – “Larger than Life” with the Backstreet Boys performing the song virtually that included AJ doing some solo dancing. Derek called the band living legends; adding that he enjoyed watching AJ. Bruno called it a winning performance. Carrie Ann called it a great way to end the night; adding that it was like going to a concert. AJ and Cheryl scored 24 points for their dance.
