Just one day after NASCAR released the Cup Series schedule for the 2021 season, IndyCar has revealed their proposed schedule for the coming year.

IndyCar opens their season in March not on the track but on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida and concluding at Laguna Seca in September.

While Detroit, Richmond, Circuit of the Americas, and a second Texas race have been eliminated; there is a race at Texas where IndyCar and NASCAR will race at the same track on the same weekend for an Indy/NASCAR doubleheader.

March 7 on the streets of St. Petersburg
April 11 at Barber Motorsports Park
April 18 on the streets of Long Beach
May 1 & 2 at Texas Motor Speedway
May 15 on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
May 22 & 23 Indianapolis 500 qualifying
May 30 at IMS for the Indianapolis 500
June 12 & 13 on the streets of Belli Isle – Detroit
June 20 at Road America
July 4 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
July 11 on the streets of Toronto
Aug 8 on the streets of Nashville
Aug 14 the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Aug 21 at World Wide Technology Raceway
Sept 12 at Portland International Raceway
Sept 19 at WeatherTech Raceway in Laguna Seca
