It’s the final race of the regular season for the Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series when they travel to Richmond for some short track racing.

The Truck Series kicks off three days of racing that will see all three of the NASCAR series on the track…including a doubleheader.

This is the first time in 15 years that the Truck Series has run a race at Richmond Raceway.  Matt Crafton and Johnny Sauter are the only two drivers in the field who have run a race at Richmond.

The Toyotacare 250 is the last chance for the drivers to race their way into one of 10 spots in the playoffs.

Points leader Austin Hill sits on the pole and will bring the field to green with Ben Rhodes alongside on the front row.

NASCAR Cup Series driver Kurt Busch joins Michael Waltrip and Vince Welch in the broadcast booth for the race.

Stages one and two of the race are 70 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 250 laps around the ¾ mile track.

Austin Hill brings the field down for the green flag start of the race and gets out in front for the lead.

Lap four, Natalie Decker is on pit road with the hood up.

Lap five, Austin Hill has a lead of over half a second on Christian Eckes; Brett Moffitt, Ben Rhodes, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Lap eight, Johnny Sauter is on pit road for an unscheduled pit stop after reporting a tire issue.

The teams have only four sets of tires for the race.

Lap 10, with a once second lead, Austin Hill has already encountered slower traffic.

Johnny Sauter’s team is reporting that the tires were fine; adding that they believe something is broken on the truck.

Josh Reaume and Jennifer Jo Cobb are off the track; Natalie Decker is 12 laps down.

Lap 14, Christian Eckes has pulled to within a half a second on lead Austin Hill; Brett Moffitt, Ben Rhodes, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Derek Kraus reports that his truck is “pushing like a dump truck”.

Leading every lap so far, Austi Hill has pulled out to a lead of over a second and a half on Christian Eckes; Ben Rhodes, Brett Moffitt, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Lap 26, there are 28 trucks on the lead lap.

Natalie Decker is off the track.

Lap 29, Austin Hill continues to lead the race with Ben Rhodes over a second and a half back; Christian Eckes, Brett Moffitt, and Grant Enfinger d out the top five.

Lap 38, Ben Rhodes has closed to within half a second on leader Austin Hill; Grant Enfinger, Christian Eckes, and Brett Moffitt round out the top five. 

Lap 45, Austin Hill has led every lap so far and continues to dominate the race; Ben Rhodes, Grant Enfinger, Brett Moffitt, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Josh Reaume has returned to the track 23 laps down.  There are 23 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 48, has a lead of over a second on Ben Rhodes; Grant Enfinger, Brett Moffitt, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 58 after Tim Viens spins out.  Some of the drivers made a trip down pit road for fresh tires.

Austin Hill brings the field down for the green flag restart with 10 laps remaining in stage one.  Hill gets out in front to hold on to his lead.

Lap 63, the top five are Austin Hill, Ben Rhodes, Christian Eckes, Brett Moffitt, and Todd Gilliland.

Drivers are getting three wide across the track.

Six laps remain in stage one, Austin Hill has pulled out to a lead of half a second.

On fresh tires, Zane Smith is charging through the field and has taken the lead away form Austin Hill.

Natalie Decker has returned to the track but is 91 laps down.

Lap 113, Grant Enfinger is the new leader with team mate Ben Rhodes taking second; Zane Smith, Austin Hill, and David Ragan round out the top five with just 19 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 119, Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes bat the lead of the race with heavy traffic in front of them.  Ben Rhodes takes the lead; Grant Enfinger, Austin Hill, Zane Smith, and David Ragan round out the top five.

Lap 123, Ben Rhodes has a lead of over half a second on Grant Enfinger; Austin Hill, David Ragan, and Zane Smith round out the top five.

With 15 laps remaining in the race, Matt Crafton is in the lead and mowing them down; there are only 10 trucks on the lead lap.  Crafton has a one second lead on Grant Enfinger.

Ten to go, after being a lap down with a tire rub, Grant Enfinger has moved into second place and is closing in on leader Matt Crafton.  Enfinger is less than half a second back.

With seven laps remaining in the race, Grant Enfinger passes Matt Crafton to take the lead.

Five to go, Grant Enfinger has just passed Austin Hill to leave only seven trucks on the lead lap.

Grant Enfinger takes the white flag.

With a lead of a second and only six trucks on the lead lap, Grant Enfinger wins his third race of the season.
