Riley Gale, the lead singer for the thrash metal band Power Trip, died August 25, 2002 at the age of 34.  An official cause of death has not been given.

Along with his band Power Trip which began back in 2008 in Dallas, Gale has worked with Ice-T.  As a part of Power Trip, Gale has shared a stage with numerous bands including Ozzy Osbourne, Anthrax, Exodus, Five Finger Death Punch, and Napalm Death.

Outside of the band, Gale loved philosophy and literature, especially Tolstoy, Foucault, Derrida, and Deleuze.  He was also interested in current affairs and sued some of them in his lyrics.

No list of survivors was released.
