The Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series kicks off a weekend filled with racing at Dover International Speedway when NASCAR takes on Miles the Monster.

Johnny Sauter has won the past three races at Dover, but is in a must win situation this season.  Sauter is hoping to make it four in a row with the KDI Office Technology 200.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the one mile track.  NASCAR has called for a competition caution on lap 20.

Brett Moffitt sits on the pole with Daytona road course winner Sheldon Creed starting alongside on the front row.

Just 17 years old, Sam Mayer wins the ARCA race and then makes his Truck Series debut.

Dover is also the second race of the Triple Truck Challenge, the race winner will win a bonus of $50,000; but if Sheldon Creed wins his second race in a row, he will win an additional bonus of $50,000 for a total of $150,000 bonus for tow races.

Brett Moffit takes the outside lane and brings the field down for the green flag start of the race; jumping out in front for the lead while Matt Crafton and Sheldon Creed battle for second with Crafton taking the spot.

Lap three, Brett Moffitt leads the way with a lead of nearly half a second on Matt Crafton; Austin Hill, Sheldon Creed, and  Tyler Ankrum round out the top five.

Lap six, Brett Moffitt continues to lead the race; Matt Crafton; Sheldon Creed, and  Tyler Ankrum round out the top five.

Tate Fogleman brings out the first caution of the race when he gets loos and spins out, avoiding the wall.

During restarts, drivers get to choose whether they want to restart the race from the inside or outside lane.

Brett Moffitt brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 12 and gets out in front for the lead; Austin Hill, Matt Crafton, Tyler Ankrum, and Sheldon Creed round out the top five.

All 35 drivers are still on the track with Ty Majeski and Tate Fogleman the only drivers one lap down.

The teams have five sets of tires for today’s race.

Lap 16, Brett Moffitt has led every lap so far; Matt Crafton, Austin Hill, Sheldon Creed, and Tyler Ankrum round out the top five.

Lap 20, Brett Moffitt holds on to the lead of the race with Matt Crafton in second when NASCAR puts out the yellow flag for the competition caution.

With a fuel load of around 78 to 80 laps, the drivers have a choice of whether they wish to make a pit stop.  The leaders stay out, but some of the drivers made a stop for adjustments.

Brett Moffitt brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 24 from the outside lane.  Again Moffitt gets out in front but Austin Hill and Matt Crafton make it three wide.  After Moffitt gets squeezed out, Hill and Crafton battle for the lead with Austin Hill taking the lead.

Lap 29, Austin Hill has pulled out to a lead of nearly half a second on Matt Crafton; Tyler Ankrum, Brett Moffitt, and Zane Smith round out the top five.

After starting the race in 26th, teen rookie Sam Mayer has moved up to 15th place.

Lap 35, Austin Hill has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Matt Crafton; Tyler Ankrum, Brett Moffitt, and Zane Smith round out the top five.

With six laps remaining in stage one, Austin Hill leads the race with Matt Crafton, Tyler Ankrum, Zane Smith, and Brett Moffitt rounding out the top five.

Lap 42, Austin Hill has a three second lead on Matt Crafton.

Drivers are getting three and four wide across the track.

With a lead of over three seconds, points leader Austin Hill wins stage one for his second stage win of the season.

Drivers come down pit road for service.  Tyler Ankrum described his truck as being “nuclear loose”.  Taking fuel only, Johnny Sauter wins the race off of pit road.

Stage winner Austin Hill will restart the race from 12th at what he calls his favourite track.

After staying out on the track, Chandler Smith will bring the field down for the green flag start of stage two with Ben Rhodes alongside on the front row.  Lap 53, Chandler Smith and Ben Rhodes battle for the lead on the restart with Smith getting out in front for the lead.

Lap 56, the top five are Chandler Smith, Ben Rhodes, Derek Kraus, Zane Smith, and Johnny Sauter.

Lap 61, Chandler Smith has pulled out to a one second lead on Ben Rhodes with Derek Kraus, Zane Smith, and Johnny Sauter rounding out the top five.

Lap 70, Chandler Smith has a lead of over a second on Derek Kraus; Bren Rhodes, Zane Smith, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.  Stage one winner Austin Hill is still in 12th place after not moving up in the field since the race restart.

Bryant Barnhill and Norm Benning are off the track with 27 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 77, Derek Kraus has closed the gap on leader Chandler Smith to under half a second; Zane Smith, Ben Rhodes, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.

Leader Chandler Smith is mired in lapped traffic.

Lap 79, Derek Kraus passes Chandler Smith for the lead while Smith battles lapped traffic. 

Lap 82, the top five are Derek Kraus, Chandler Smith, Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, and Ben Rhodes.

Lap 85, Zane Smith takes second from Chandler Smith with Derek Kraus in the lead.

Zane Smith has caught up to leader Derek Kraus.  Christian Eckes passes Chandler Smith for the lead.

With Derek Kraus battling lapped traffic, Zane Smith passes for the lead.

Chandler Smith and Christian Eckes make contact and bring out the caution flag with just two laps remaining in stage two.

With a stage length of 110 laps, the drivers cannot complete the race on a single load of fuel.

Christian Eckes brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 98 and gets out in front for the lead.

The top five are Christian Eckes, Todd Gilliland, Brett Moffitt, Zane Smith, and Johnny Sauter.

There are only 23 trucks on the lead lap.  Bryan Barnhill has returned to the track 27 laps down but Parker Kligermam joins Norm Benning off the track.

Lap 102, Christian Eckes has a lead of over half a second on Todd Gilliland; Zane Smith, Brett Moffitt, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Bryant Barnhill is back off the track for a total of three drivers off the track.

Lap 106, Christian Eckes has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Todd Gilliland; Zane Smith, Brett Moffitt, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Lap 108, Zane Smith has taken over second place and is over a second behind leader Christian Eckes.

Lap 115, Christian Eckes’ lead is down to just a third of a second over Zane Smith; Brett Moffitt, Todd Gilliland, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Lap 120, Zane Smith challenges Christian Eckes for the lead but passing a slower truck, Eckes holds on to the lead.

Lap 125, Christian Eckes holds on to a narrow lead on Zane Smith with Brett Moffitt in third; Todd Gilliland and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Lap 127, there are only 19 trucks on the lead lap.

Brett Moffitt takes second from Zane Smith and is on the tailgate of leader Christian Eckes.

Lap 130, Brett Moffitt passes Christian Eckes for the lead; Zane Smith, Todd Gilliland, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Brett Moffitt puts Chandler Smith a lap down; there are only 18 trucks on the lead lap.

Drivers are getting three wide across the track as they battle for space.

Lap 139, Brett Moffitt has a one second lead on Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, Todd Gilliland, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Lap 143, Brett Moffitt leads the race; Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, Todd Gilliland, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

With 17 trucks on the lead lap, Brett Moffitt is in the lead with Zane Smith in second.

Zane Smith passes team mate Brett Moffitt on lap 155; Christian Eckes, Todd Gilliland, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Forty laps to go, Zane Smith has a lead of over a second on Brett Moffitt; Christian Eckes, Todd Gilliland, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five with 16 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 162, Brett Moffitt is the first driver to bring his truck down pit road for service; leader Zane Smith also makes his pit stop and give the lead over to Christian Eckes.

More drivers make their stops on pit road.  Todd Gilliland is the new leader.

Todd Gilliland makes his pit stop and gives the lead over to Tanner Gray.

Tanner Gray makes his pit stop and gives the lead over to Sheldon Creed.

Sheldon Creed makes his pit stop and Zane Smith retakes the lead.

Raphael Lessard and Tanner Gray were charged with commit cone violations and will have to serve a pass through penalty.

With 25 laps remaining in the race, Zane Smith has a lead of over half a second with Brett Moffitt in second; Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, and Todd Gilliland round out the top five with just 13 trucks on the lead lap.

Twenty to go, Zane Smith has a lead of over half a second on Brett Moffitt; Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, and Todd Gilliland round out the top five with only eleven trucks on the lead lap.

Fifteen to go, Zane Smith continues to lead the race with a lead of over a second on Brett Moffitt.

Ten to go, Zane Smith has a lead of over a second and a half on Brett Moffitt, Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, and Todd Gilliland round out the top five.

Stewart Friesen brings out the caution flag with just eight laps remaining in the race when his truck gets loose and he spins out avoiding the wall.

Zane Smith brings the field down for the green flag restart and a three lap shootout to end the race.  Zane Smith jumps out in front with Matt Crafton in second; Brett Moffitt, Todd Gilliland, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

With a lead of over half a second, Zane Smith takes the white flag.

Winning his second race of the season, Zane Smith will take home the mini Miles the Monster trophy in his Dover debut…and a $50,000 Triple Truck Challenge bonus.
