While the world is battling a pandemic, cities across the United States are also dealing with massive protests over police brutality and reform.
Law enforcement organizations and unions continue to resist reforms but Hollywood is taking a stance with four of CBS’s biggest series are making plans to make some changes in how the police are perceived. “NCIS”, “NCIS: Los Angeles”, and “NCIS: New Orleans”; along with “Blue Bloods” has joined forces with the public safety advisory group 21CP Solutions to make some changes in their shows.
21CP Solutions works with law enforcement agencies to bring policing to the 21st century.
R Scott Gemmill of “NCIS: Los Angeles” said, “having an audience of millions of viewers each week comes with a great deal of responsibility. This new partnership will help us ensure that our storytelling continues to produce accurate portrayals of law enforcement, and will hopefully allow us to play a small part in the ongoing reform moving forward.”
“NCIS: New Orleans” CCH Ponder, who plays coroner Dr. Loretta Wade noted that season seven of the show will address the recent pandemic and the wearing of masks.
