Musical renaissance woman Suzi Ragsdale is releasing her first album in 10 years on October 9, 2020. The first single and video from “Ghost Town” “Wildflowers” is out now.
The daughter of iconic comedic singer Ray Stevens, Ragsdale has been a part of the music world since she was in kindergarten. Along with writing and performing her own songs, she has written songs for a number of Nashville stars including Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson, Rodney Crowell, Hal Ketchum, Lari White, Darrell Scott, Anne Murray, Billy Dean, and rock duo Nelson; sung backup for dozens of artists including Loretta Lynn, Pam Tillis, Kathy Mattea, Suzy Bogguss, Ian Tyson, Tom Paxton, Watermelon Slim, and Hank Williams Jr; and shared the stage with Guy Clark and Darrell Scott.
Speaking on her new album Ragsdale said, “though not intentionally written to be so, this group of songs has a common thread of transformation—of accepting what’s out of our control, but without resignation. Instead, rising from the proverbial ashes with perseverance and strength, humor, and grace.”
