Last weekend at Kansas Speedway the Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series ran its first ever doubleheader racing event. The ARCA, Xfinity, and NASCAR Series also ran single races for a very busy weekend of racing.
On July 28, NASCAR officials handed down just two penalties in the Gander Truck Series for lug nut violations.
The number 19 McAnally Hilgemann Racing truck driven by Derek Kraus was found to have one lug nut improperly secured; as a result, crew chief Kevin Bellicourt has been fined $2,500.
The number 51 Kyle Busch Motorsports truck driven by Brandon Jones was also found to a lug nut improperly secured. Crew chief Danny Stockman was also fined $2,500 for the infraction.
Both drivers finished the race in the top 10.
