On a hot July afternoon, the Xfinity Series kicks off a tripleheader weekend and a double header Saturday when NASCAR travels to Texas Motor Speedway.

After a random draw based on car owner points, Michael Annett will sit on the pole for the My Bariatric Solutions 300.  Jeb Burton will start alongside for an all JR Motorsports front row.  All four of Junior’s drivers will start the race in the top 10.

NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Busch is in the race – a track where he has nine wins.  Busch will be starting the race from 28th place.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track.

NASCAR has called for a competition caution on lap 20.

Michael Annett brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane.  Austin Cindric makes it a three wide battle for the lead.

Lap two, Austin Cindric has already pulled out to a lead of over half a second on Michael Annett; Jeb Burton, Justin Allgaier, and Brandon Jones round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap four when Riley Herbst gets loose and slams the back of the car into the wall after some contact from Noah Gragson.  Herbst has significant damage to his car and is on the crash clock.  The team has six minutes to get the car repaired and able to run at least minimum speed.

Noah Gragson has been involved in on track confrontations in 12 of the last 16 races.

Riley Herbst is back on the track two laps down.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the gren flag restart on lap nine from the bottom lane and jumps out in front for the lead.

Jeb Burton gets loose, but saves the car and the track stays green.

Lap 10, the top five are Austin Cindric, Michael Annett, Brandon Jones, Chase Briscoe, and Noah Gragson.  Kyle Busch has moved up to 13th place; up 15 places.

Lap 13, Austin Cindric has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second on Michael Annett.

Riley Herbst has failed to make minimum speed and is out of the race.

Lap 15, Austin Cindric has increased his lead to over a second on Michael Annett with Brandon Jones in third.  Kyle Busch is no in the top 10.

Lap 17, Austin Cindric is pulling away from the field; he now has a lead of nearly two seconds on Michael Annett; Brandon Jones, Justin Allgaier, and Chase Briscoe round out the top five.

Brandon Jones gets around Michael Annett to take second place.

Myatt Snider brings out the second caution flag on lap 10 after contact from Matt Mills and hits the wall, causing significant damage to the rear of the car.

NASCAR has announced that his will also serve as the competition caution.

With outside temperatures in the 90’s, temps inside the cars are reaching 140 degrees!

After staying out on the track, Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 24 from the bottom lane and gets out in front to continue leading the race.

The top five are Austin Cindric, Brandon Jones, Justin Allgaier, Chase Briscoe, and Noah Gragson.  Kyle Busch is in 10th place.

Lap 27, Austin Cindric leads the race with Brandon Jones on his bumper; Justin Allgaier, Chase Briscoe, and Noah Gragsn round out the top five.

Lap 30, Austin Cindric has a quarter of a second lead on Justin Allgaier; Brandon Jones, Chase Briscoe, and Noah Gragson round out the top five.

Leading every lap so far, this is the ninth race in a row that Austin Cindric has led laps in a race.

Lap 32, Justin Allgaier has caught up to Austin Cindric and is challenging for the lead with Brandon Jones close behind.

Lap 35, Justin Allgaier gets around Austin Cindric to take the lead.

Lap 37, Justin Allgaier has a third of a second lead on Austin Cindric; Brandon Jones, Chase Briscoe, and Kyle Busch round out the top five.

Lap 38, Austin Cindric has a loose condition and has had to save the car several times.

Lap 39, Justin Allgaier has a half second lead on Brandon Jones; Austin Cindric, Kyle Busch, and Chase Briscoe round out the top five.

Lap 41, Justin Allgaier holds on to his half second lead on Brandon Jones; Austin Cindric, Kyle Busch, and Chase Briscoe round out the top five.

With a lead of a second, Justin Allgaier wins stage one for his sixth stage win of the season.

Drivers bring their cars down pit road for service.  Kyle Busch wins the race off of pit road.  Despite coming from a 28th place start to end the stage in 3rd place, Busch was complaining of a tight condition.  With temps of 145 degrees inside the car, Busch asked his team for two Gatorade bottles and two bags of ice.

Kyle Busch was caught for speeding on pit road.  Reports that the needle on his tachometer is sticking.

Austin Cindric and Justin Allgaier bring the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 52.

After going side by side for a couple of laps, beating and banging for the lead, Justin Allgaier finally gets out in front for the lead.

Lap 54, the top five are Justin Allgaier, Harrison Burton, Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, and Chase Briscoe.  Kyle Busch has moved up to 18th place after restarting the race from the back of the field.

Lap 57, Justin Allgaier has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Harrison Burton.

Lap 58, Austin Cindric gets around Harrison Burton to take second place; over a second and half behind leader Justin Allgaier.  Taking 15th, Kyle Busch continues to move through the field.

Lap 60, Justin Allgaier has a second and a half lead on Austin Cindric; Harrison Burton, Ross Chastain, and Michael Annett round out the top five.  Kyle Busch is now in 14th place.

Lap 62, Austin Cindric retakes second place as he looks to get back at Justin Allgaier and retake the lead.

Lap 65, Austin Cindric has closed the gap on leader Justin Allgaier to under a second and a half.  Kyle Busch is just outside the 50 10 in eleventh.

Lap 66, the caution flag comes out for debris on the track – a piece of debris from Myatt Snider’s car.

Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 73 from the outside lane but it is Austin Cindric who initially gets out in front for the lead but Allgaier continues to challenge and eventually gets the lead.

Ross Chastain slaps the wall after contact with Chase Briscoe, but the track stays green.

Kody Vanderwal brings out the caution flag on lap 76 after getting loose and spinning out.  Vanderwall is one of three 19 year old drivers in the race.

Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane on lap 79 and goes side by side with Austin Cindric before getting out in front to hold on to the lead of the race.

The top five are Justin Allgaier, Austin Cindric, Harrison Burton, Brandon Jones ,and Noah Gragson.

Ten laps to go in stage two; Justin Allgaier has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second; Austin Cindric, Brandon Jones, Noah Gragson, and Chase Briscoe round out the top five.  Kyle Busch is in eighth place.

Chase Briscoe is reporting several issues with his car.

Lap 86, Justin Allgaier has a lead of nearly two seconds on Austin Cindric; Brandon Jones, Noah Gragson, and Kyle Busch round out the top five with 29 cars on the lead lap.

With a lead of over two seconds, Justin Allgaier sweeps the stage wins at Texas.

The drivers bring their cars down pit road for service.  Taking only fuel, Brandon Brown wins the race off of pit road with Justin Allgaier out second with four fresh tires.

After staying out on the track, Anthony Alfredo and Ross Chastain are on the front row with Alfredo bringing the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 97.  Ross Chastain gets out in front for the lead with Kyle Busch on his bumper.

Lap 98, Kyle Busch takes the lead with Ross Chastain in second and battling for the lead.

Lap 99, Ross Chastain is in the lead with Anthonly Alfredo in second.

Lap 100, after getting loose Kyle Busch drops to fourth.  Anthony Alfredo takes the lead with Justin Allgaier in second and Ross Chastain in third.

Lap 101, Anthony Alfredo has the lead with Justin Allgaier on his bumper; Kyle Busch, Noah Gragson and Austin Cindric round out the top five.

Lap 103, Anthony Alfredo has a quarter of a second lead on Justin Allgiaer with Kyle Busch in third; Noah Gragson and Austin Cindric round out the top five.

Lap 106, Justin Allgaier takes the lead from Anthony Alfredo.  Kyle Busch takes second.

Lap 107 Anthony Alfredo brings out the caution flag when he slams the wall.  Alfredo reported to his team that the car would not turn.

Pole sitter Michael Annett brings his car down pit road for service.

Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 111 with Kyle Busch alongside on the front row.  Allgaier jumps out in front for the lead with Busch and Noah Gragson battling for second.

Lap 113, the top five are Justin Allgaier, Kyle Busch, Noah Gragson, Austin Cindric, and Jeb Burton.

Lap 115, Justin Allgaier and Kyle Busch battle for the lead with Busch putting his Twix car out in front.  The winningest driver in the Xfinity Series, Busch has a total of 97 wins.

Noah Gragson gets loose getting into the wall and brings out the caution flag on lap 118.

Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart from the outside lane on lap 123 and edges out Austin Cindric for the lead with Jeb Burton in third.  After coming down pit road, Kyle Busch restarted the race in 15th.

Lap 124, Austin Cindric is only a quarter of a second behind leader Justin Allgaier.

Lap 126, Justin Allgaier and Austin Cindric battle for the lead with Allgaier holding on to the top spot.  Justin Allgaier is looking for his first win of the season.

Noah Gragson was unable to make minimum speed and get the car repaired in time.  He is now out of the race.

Lap 130, Justin Allgaier has a third of a second lead on Austin Cindric; Jeb Burton, Justin Haley, and Michael Annett round out the top five.

Lap 131, Justin Allgaier has pulled out to a half second lead on Austin Cindric.  Kyle Busch is in sixth place.

With 27 cars on the lead lap, there are no cars just one lap down.

Lap 134, Justin Allagier has a lead of nearly a second on Austin Cindric; Jeb Burton, Kyle Busch, and Justin Haley rounding out the top five.

Lap 136, Justin Allgaier has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Austin Cindric.

Lap 140, Justin Allgaier holds on to a one second lead over Austin Cindric; Jeb Burton, Kyle Busch, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Lap 143, encountering slower traffic, Austin Cindric has closed the gap on lead Justin Allgaier to just two tenths of a second; Jeb Burton, Kyle Busch, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Lap 147, Austin Cindric has caught up to lead Justin Allgaier and is challenging for the lead; Jeb Burton, Kyle Busch, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

There are 19 cars on the lead lap; Jesse Little is the first car one lap down.

Fifty to go, Justin Allgaier holds on to the lead but Austin Cindric is on his bumper and looking for the lead; Kyle Busch, Jeb Burton, and Harrison Burton round out the top five.

Lap 153, Austin Cindric finally gets around Justin Allgaier to take the lead with a little help from lapped traffic.

Lap 157, green flag pit stops have begun.

Austin Cindric has a lead of over half a second on Justin Allgaier; Kyle Busch, Harrison Burton, and Chase Briscoe round out the top five.

With over 136 degrees in the car, Ross Chastain reports that the water bags in his car have busted and the water is very hot.

Leaders come down pit road for service giving the lead over to Kyle Busch.

Kyle Busch comes down pit road with a bad vibration giving the lead over the Harrison Burton.

Lap 163, as green flag pit stops continue, there are only five cars on the lead lap – Harrison Burton, Chase Briscoe, Michael Annett, Ross Chastain, and Brandon Brown.

Kyle Busch and Justin Allgaier battle for position in sixth and seventh positions with Allgaier in front and will take over the elad once all of the drivers have made their pit stops.

Justin Allgaier has been posted for violating the blend line rule.  He will have to serve a pass through penalty.

After serving his pass through penalty, Justin Allgaier returns to the track in 17th place.

The top four drivers – Harrison Burton, Chase Briscoe, Brandon Brown, and Ross Chastain have yet to make their green flag pit stops.

Lap 177, leader Harrison Burton makes his pit stop giving the lead over to Chase Briscoe.  Ross Chastain is the only other driver yet to make a pit stop.

With 21 laps remaining in the race, Chase Briscoe is in the lead and has yet to make his pit stop; Kyle Busch passes Briscoe and gets his lap back.  Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, and Kyle Busch are the only drivers on the lead lap.

With just 15 laps remaining in the race, Ross Chastain makes his pit stop; Chase Briscoe is the only driver yet to make a pit stop.

Ten to go, leader Chase Briscoe finally makes his green flag pit stop and gives the lead over to Kyle Busch; Austin Cindric in second and Harrison Burton in third are the only cars on the lead lap.

With Chase Briscoe making his pit stop, there are now nine cars on the lead lap with Kyle Busch leading the way.

Six laps remain in the race when the caution flag comes out with only eight cars on the lead lap when Joe Graf Jr got loose on the track.

Leader Kyle Busch had some debris on his grille, he pulled up close behind the pace car to remove the debris.

The race goes into overtime.

A few drivers come down pit road for fresh tires.  The teams were given only four sets of tires for the race.

Jeb Burton gets sideways but the track stays green.

Busch has noted that the lack of practice has hampered his NASCAR Cup racing efforts.  After today’s win, he has had 300 miles worth of practice for the race on Sunday.
