In March the world stood still as the Covid-19 virus took hold of the world infecting millions and killings thousands.  The National Hockey League has announced that their regular season ended on March 11 with a total of 189 games remaining in the season.

As a result, the NHL has decided to go ahead and hand out the season ending awards.

The Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy for the top goal scorers of the season go to Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitols and David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins.  This is Ovechkin’s ninth award.

The Art Ross Trophy for 110 points in 71 games goes to Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers.

The Presidents’ Trophy for topping 100 points in a season is the Boston Bruins.

The William M. Jennings Award for allowing the fewest goals goes to Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak of the Boston Bruins.
