Saturday Night Thunder returns with an eNASCAR iRacing event from Richmond, Virginia.

While the racing world waits for the world to begin again once the Covid-19 virus has run its course, the NASCAR drivers compete in a virtual world. And while they may not be racing for points and money, the competition is still fierce as they battle their way through the field.

Two weeks ago for the inaugural Saturday Night Thunder event from Bristol, the drivers used the ARCA style cars; this week the drivers will be competing in the Xfinity Series cars.

Drivers from the ARCA, Gander RV and Outdoors, and Xfinity Series will be competing.

After a single car qualifying event, the drivers will have to compete in three heat races to determine who will get to race in the main event – a 125 lap race.

Richmond is a three quarter mile short track that is known for some fast competitive racing.

In heat one, Landon Cassill will bring the field down for the green flag. The top six drivers from each heat will move on to the main event. During the heat races, there will be no caution flags. The heat races are only 10 laps in length.

In heat number three, Josh Berry will bring the field to green with Chase Cabre starting alongside on the front row.

In the last chance qualifier, Justin Allgaier and Ryan Truex will sit on the front row. There are 15 laps in the last chance qualifier race. The top four drivers will move on to the feature race.

Leading the way, Justin Allgaier wins the the LCQ race with Ryan Truex, Brennan Poole, and Michael McDowell all moving on to the feature race.

In the second LCQ race Chad Finchum and Austin Cindric are on the front row and will bring the field to the green flag.

Several drivers are spinning out as they battle to be one of the four drivers moving on to the feature race.

Lap 20, the first caution flag of the race comes out out for a crash involving Michael McDowell, Blake Koch, and Ryan Truex.

Lap 52, Chase Cabre gets into the wall causing some damage to the car but the track stays green.

Lap 61, leader Josh Berry has encountered some slower traffic.

The caution flag comes out on lap 62 when Matt Mill hits Ty Gibbs sending Gibbs around for a spin.

Lap 71, Cole Custer gets into the wall but the track stays green.

The caution flag comes out on lap 82 when Anthony Alfredo and Chase Briscoe make contact sending Briscoe into the wall and Alfredo for a spin.

Landon Cassill and Logan Seavey took just two tires, putting Josh Berry back in third place.

With 36 laps remaining in the race, Josh Berry gets around Landon Cassill to retake the lead of the race.

Lap 100, the caution flag comes out for an altercation involving Cole Custer as drivers get stacked up. Justin Allgaier and Ryan Truex were also involved.

With a two tire change, Landon Cassill edges out Josh Berry to be the first car off of pit road, but Anthony Alfredo stayed out on the track.

Anthony Alfredo brings the field down for the green flag restart with only 20 laps remaining in the race. Alfredo gets out in front for the lead as drivers get three wide and brings out the caution flag. Landon Huffman and Alex Labbe were involved.

Drivers at the back of the field come down pit road, but the leaders stay out.
