Saying that the health and safety of their fans is the highest priority, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has postponed the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony; as well as, the events leading up to the gala event set to make The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex, Depeche Mode, Jon Landau, and Irving Azoff a part of the Hall of Fame.
The Hall noted that the rescheduled event dates will be announced soon; along with the new date for the live broadcast of the ceremony on HBO will be announced.
After further concerns over the spread of the corona virus, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced that they will be closing the Museum for the next two weeks – from March 14 to March 27. The Rock Hall states that they will be monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates.
In addition to the postponing of the Rock Hall Induction ceremony; the Spotlight on Janis Joplin and the Film Series featuring Linda Ronstadt will also be postponed.
Fans who have purchased tickets for an upcoming event will be issued a refund. Fans who have purchased tickets for the Museum will have their tickets honoured once the museum reopens.
