The Gander RV and Outdoors Series kicks off another triple header weekend as the west coast swing gets started in La Vegas Motor Speedway.

With Daytona behind them, the teams look toward the mile and a half track.

Four teams found themselves in a hole even before qualifying started when NASCAR issued four penalties after the inspection process. All four teams were cited for the same infraction and have been docked 10 driver and 10 truck owner points. The number 13 ThorSport Racing truck driven by Johnny Sauter, the number 26 GMS Racing truck driven by Tyler Ankrum, the number 88 ThorSport Racing truck driven by Matt Crafton, and the number 98 ThorSport Truck driven by Grant Enfinger wwere all found to have made some unapproved adjustments with aerodynamic panels that are not allowed.

After qualifying, Johnny Sauter puts his number 13 truck on the pole for his eighth career pole.

NASCAR Cup driver Erik Jones joines Vince Welch and Michael Waltrip in the FOX broadcast booth for the race.

Stages one and two of the race are 30 laps each with stage three lasting 74 laps for a total of 134 laps around the mile and a half track.

Lap 12, Kyle Busch passes Johnny Sauter for the lead with the two drivers swapping the lead back and forth before Kyle Busch holds on to the top spot.

Lap 15, halfway through stage one, Kyle Busch leads the way with Johnny Sauter in second; Christian Eckes, Sheldon Creed, and Tyler Ankrum round out the top five.

Lap 16, Matt Crafton has moved up 20 spots to the 12th position after starting the race from the back of the field.

Lap 18, Kyle Busch has put his number 51 truck in the lead and has a lead of over a second and a half on Johnny Sauter.

Lap 40, Christian Eckes leads the way with Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, Todd Gilliland, and Brett Moffitt rounding out the top five.

Lap 44, Kyle Busch challenges Christian Eckes for the lead and finally gets around Eckes for the lead on lap 45.

Lap 50, Kyle Busch hs pulled out to a lead of nearly a second and a half on Christian Eckes; Ross Chastain, Brett Moffitt, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

Brennan Poole, Stewart Friesen, and Spencer Boyd were all penalized during the pit stop for improper fueling procedures. Zane Smith and Spencer Davis were charged with having equipment outside of the pit box. Austin Hill and Tate Fogleman were charged with having uncontrolled tires on pit road.

With a lead of over four seconds, Kyle Busch wins stage two to sweep the stage wins.

Drivers bring their trucks down pit road for service.

Kyle Busch wins the race off of pit road with Christian Eckes coming out second. Todd Gilliland’s crew got his six spots on the track with their pit stop. Ross Chastain and Grant Enfinger lost spots on the track after their pit stops.

Josh Reaume, Spencer Boyd, and Spencer Davis were are charged with penalties during their pit stops. Tyler Ankrum was charged with pitting outside of his pit box and has been held for one lap by NASCAR.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 68 from the inside lane with Kyle Busch jumping out in front for the lead.

Lap 70, Kyle Busch has a lead of nearly a second on Todd Gilliland; Christian Eckes, Austin Hill, and Sheldon Creed round out the top five.

Lap 73, Kyle Busch has increased his lead to over two seconds on Sheldon Creed.

Christian Eckes has a flat tire after hitting the outside wall and brings out the caution flag on lap 74.

Ben Rhodes has some damage to his truck after making contact with Zane Smith on the track.

With 25 trucks on the lead lap, Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 79 but it is Sheldon Creed that gets out in front for the lead.

Lap 80, Kyle Busch is on Sheldon Creed’s bumper and passes Creed from the outside to retake the lead. While Busch and Creed battle for the lead, Ross Chastain is coming on quickly.

Lap 83, Kyle Busch takes the lead with Sheldon Creed in second and Ross Chastain in third; Johnny Sauter and Matt Crafton round out the top five.

Fifty to go, Kyle Busch has a half second lead on Sheldon Creed; Ross Chastain, Johnny Sauter, and Matt Crafton round out the top five.

The drivers still have to make one more pit stop to finish the race.

Grant Enfinger brings out the caution flag when he brushes the wall after making contact with Raphael Lessard. Grant Enfinger’s team says that they are out of the race.

With 44 laps remaining in the race, the drivers are in their pit window and make a pit stop for fuel, fresh tires, and adjustments.

With a lead of nearly eight seconds, Kyle Busch wins his seventh race in a row for a win at his home track; giving him a total of 57 Truck Series victories. This is Kyle’s second win in as many days after winning on the Bullring in Las Vegas on Thursday night.
