While much of America was watching the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, the British Film Academy was celebrating the best in films with the annual BAFTA Awards.

Like American awards shows, the British Film Academy faced an issue of the lack of diversity in the nominees.
