Next month NASCAR kicks off another racing season at Daytona International Speedway, but before the teams take to the track for Speedweeks, IMSA – the International Motor Sports Association – takes over the track for some road racing with the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Like NASCAR, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Daytona International. This year marks the 58th annual 24 hour race at Daytona.

The Rolex 24 Hour race features four different classes of cars – the Daytona Prototype International, the Le Mans Prototype 2, the Grand Toruing Le Mans, and the Grand Touring Daytona – all competing on the track at the same time with the drivers making as many circuits around the 3.56 mile course that combines the infield road course and parts of the tri-oval.

Race fans will see Acura, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Lamborghini, Lexus, McLaren, Mazda, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche all running together and trying to outrace each other.

As in the past NASCAR drivers are looking to get in on the fun including NASCAR Champion Kyle Busch who will be joining the number 14 AIM Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC-F GT3. Chase Briscoe, Austin Cindric, AJ Allmendinger, Katherine Legge, and Andy Lally will all be a part of Rolex 24 teams. Former NASCAR driver and three time Rolex 24 winner Juan Pablo Montoya will also be a part of the race.

The green flag drops at 1:40pm on January 25.
