It’s one of the biggest nights in Country Music with the annual Country Music Association Awards.
In a celebration of women in Country music, Country music legends Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire join Carrie Underwood in a performance to open the 53rd annual awards gala. Underwood is the host for this year’s event with Parton and McEntire serving as special guest hosts.
In a tribute to Loretta Lynn (who is in the house), the women of Little Big Town join Jennifer Nettles for a performance.
The Highwomen perform “Your Good Girl’s Gonna Go Bad”.
Tanya Tucker sings “Delta Dawn”.
Gretchen Wilson sings “Red Neck Woman”.
Crystal Gayle sang “Don’t it Make My Brown Eyes Blue”.

The first award of the night is for Single of the Year and went to Blake Shelton for “God’s Country”. This is Shelton’s first Single of the Year award.
Dan + Shay perform their hit song “Speechless”.
The award for Song of the Year went to “Beautiful Crazy” written by Luke Combs, Wyatt B. Durrette III, and Robert Williford.

Country Music Hall of Fame singer Reba McEntire takes the stage for a performance of “Fancy”.
Pop star P!ink join Chrs Stapleton for a special performance.
The award for New Artist of the Year went to Ashley McBryde.

Luke Combs performs his new hit “Beer Never Broke My Heart”.
Kelsea Ballerini performs “Homecoming Queen”. Lindsay Ell joins Kelsea on stage for a performance of “Girl Crush”. Runway June, Maddie and Tae, Ashely McBryde, Carly Pearce, and Little Big Town also take the stage to sing the song.
The award for Vocal Duo of the Year went to Dan + Shay. This was the first Duo of the Year award for the pair.
Halsey joins Lady Antebellum for a performance.
Country Music Hall of Fame members Brooks and Dunn take the stage with the Brothers Osborne for a special performance.
CMA Award nominee leader Maren Morris performed “Girl” but is pregnant with a boy.
The award for Vocal Group of the Year went to Old Dominion.
Blake Shelton performs his award winning hit song “God’s Country”.

The award for Album of the Year went to Maren Morris for “Girl”.
Sheryl Crow and Dierks Bentley are joined by Chris Janson, John Osborne, and Eagle Joe Walsh for a performance of the Janis Joplin hit “Me and Bobby McGee”.

Trisha Yearwood presents the award for Male Vocalist of the Year to Luke Combs. This is the first vocalist of the year award for Combs.
Music legend Willie Nelson joins forces with Kacey Musgraves for a performance of “Rainbow Connection”.
For the first time on television, Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton join up for a performance in the “Dive Bar”.
The award for Female Vocalist of the Year went to Kacey Musgraves. This is Musgraves’ first vocalist of the year award.
In the final award presentation of the night, Reese Witherspoon presents the Entertainer of the Year Award to Garth Brooks. In his acceptance speech, Brooks mentioned several of his fellow entertainers and dedicated it to the crews that get them on stage every night.
