Less than a week after being suspended for violating NASCAR’s Member Conduct Guidelines, Gander Outdoors Truck Series driver Tyler Dippel has been reinstated and will be behind the wheel when the Truck Series concludes the first round of the playoffs in Las Vegas on September 13.
Dippel was in his personal vehicle with a passenger when he was pulled over by a trooper for improperly changing lanes. A subsequent examination in the truck found a prescription medication not belonging to Dippel.
Originally the 19 year old was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance but the charges were later dropped after evidence was presented in court to prove Dippel’s innocence.
Last week when the Truck Series traveled to Toronto for a road course race at Motorsport Park, truck owner Young Motorsports put Canadian driver DJ Kennington behind the wheel.
