Race two of this triple header weekend is the Xfinity Series with the Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway and some Friday night racing.

Austin Cindric won the pole for the third week in a row and will bring the field to the green flag. A number of Monster Energy Cup Series drivers are in the field including Kyle Busch who will be starting on the front row alongside Austin Cindric.

After failing the pre-race inspection process four times, the Richard Childress Racing number two car driven by points leader Tyler Reddick, was not allowed to qualify and will have to start the race from last place. Additionally, Reddick will have to serve a pass through penalty once the green flag drops, the car chief Cam Strader has been ejected from the track for the remainder of the weekend, Cindric has been docked 10 driver points, and car owner Richard Childress has been docked 10 car owner points.

Having made some unapproved adjustments, John Hunter Nemechek will also have to start from the back of the field.

Known as the Last Great Colosseum, there will plenty of beating and banging around the half mile track as the drivers jockey for position.

Stages one and two of the race are 85 laps each with stage three lasting 130 laps for a total of 300 laps around the half mile track.

Austin Cindric brings the field down for the green flag start of the race but it is Kyle Busch who jumps out in front for the lead.

Lap six, Kyle Busch has a near half second lead on Cole Custer.

Tyler Reddick has served his penalty and is one lap down.

The first caution flag of the race comes out on lap seven when Mason Diaz gets into the wall. The first car one laps down, Tyler Reddick gets the “lucky dog” and is back on the lead lap.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 14 with Busch getting out in front from the outside lane. Justin Allgaier has moved up to second place.

Lap 19, Kyle Busch has a half second lead on Justin Allgaier with Cole Custer in third and pole sitter Austin Cindric in fourth.

Lap 22, Justin Allgaier is closing in on leader Kyle Busch and has moved to less than two tenths of a second behind Busch.

At 15 seconds per lap, the laps count down quickly. Lap 28, Kyle Busch has led every lap so far with 35 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 32, Kyle Busch continues to lead the race. After starting in last place, Tyler Reddick has moved up to 20th place.

Lap 34, Kyle Busch has increased his lead on Justin Allgaier and is now nearly a second out in front of the field.

Cole Custer makes contact with Matt Mills and gets into the wall and comes down the track collecting Christopher Bell and brings out the caution flag on lap 37. Noah Gragson, Chase Briscoe, Joey Logano and Erik Jones were also involved.

John Hunter Nemechek brings out the caution flag on lap 51 with a flat tire after failing to get down pit road. After a bump from CJ McLaughlin, Nemechek slides sideways.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 55 and continues to hold on to the lead with Justin Allgaier in second.

Lap 58, Justin Allgaier challenges Kyle Busch for the lead but so far, Busch holds him off. There are 25 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 60, Justin Allgaier finally gets around Kyle Busch for the lead.

Lap 65, Justin Allgaier has a quarter of a second lead on Kyle Busch.

Lap 67, Kyle Busch has pulled up to Justin Allgaier’s bumper and is making a challenge to retake the lead.

NBC Sportscasters reveal that Kyle Busch has won a total of 22 races at Bristol across the three NASCAR series – Truck, Xfinity, and Monster Cup. He has a total of 95 wins in the Xfinity Series.

The caution flag come out on lap 71 for debris on the track.

Some of the drivers bring their cars down pit road for service.

Justin Allgaier brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 76 and jumps out in front for the lead. Staying out on the track, Tyler Reddick is now in second place.

Tyler Reddick challenges Justin Allgaier for the lead, the two makes contact causing both to spin out and brings out the caution flag with just three laps remaining in stage one. Brandon Jones is the new leader.

Lap 99, Austin Cindric battles Noah Gragson for second.

Lap 101, Kyle Busch has pulled out to a lead of over a seocnd on Noah Gragson.

Lap 107, Kyle Busch now has a lead of over a second and a half on Austin Cindric with 26 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 112, Kyle Busch has increased his lead to over two seconds on Austin Cindric.

The caution flag comes out on lap 119 when Ronnie Bassett Jr gets into the barrels after the rear end of the car comes off and has a tire bouncing all over the track. Kyle Busch barely misses hitting Bassett.

Jeb Burton’s team reports some sort of a brake issue.

NASCAR has red flagged the race in order to replace the sand barrels and clean up the track.

After a red flag condition of less than five minutes, NASCAR has put out the caution flag and the cars are again moving.

Lap 160, Justin Allgaier has caught up to leader Kyle Busch as Busch battle to get past Landon Cassill.

Lap 162, Kyle Busch has a lead of a second and a half over Tyler Reddick with only 12 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 167, leader Kyle Busch’s car is smoking with a possible tire rub.
