On June 7 the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino finished out the first week of June by hearkening back to a time of lyrics, melodies, and baby making music with a performance by Ambrosia in the Bear’s Den Showroom.
The six piece band made a return to Niagara Falls after being away for many years to play before a full house of enthusiastic fans.
Along with their original songs, Ambrosia performed a mashup with a Stevie Wonder song, The Beatles song “Magical Mystery Tour” from the 1975 film “All This and World War II”, and “The Way it Is” by former Ambrosia member Bruce Hornsby.
While it is well known that numerous artists can lay claim to providing the background music for many baby making sessions, Ambrosia claims the title of the highest conception rate to their song “How Much I Feel”.
After opening the show with “Still Not Satisfied”, the band promised the crowd that those who came to hear love songs would not be disappointed.
The 15 song set included “Rock and a Hard Place”, “You’re the Only Woman”, “Livin’ on My Own”, “Holdin’ On”, “Life Beyond LA”, and “Biggest Part of Me”.
After a night of dancing and singing along, the crowd was still not ready to go home. Ambrosia played a two song encore of “I’m Cryin’” and “Rock and Roll”.
With three of the original band members including the founding member, Ambrosia knows how to put on a show and please the crowd.
