Only five singers remain on “American Idol” with only two shows remain before a new winner is crowned.

For these final two show, the judges no longer have a say in who stays and who goes home; it’s all up to the fans.

Each singer will perform three times, songs by Sir Elton John, songs chosen by Idol mentor Bobby Bones, and

Up first is Wade Cota with “You Are the Best Thing”.

Bobby chose the Miranda Lambert song “The House that Built Me” for Laci Kaye Booth.

Bobby chose the Bob Marley song “No Woman, No Cry” for Alejandro Aranda.

Bobby chose the Marshall Tucker Band song “Can’t You See” for Laine Hardy. Laine played a guitar he has had for only two days.

Finishing out the first round, Bobby chose the P!nk song “What About Us” for Madison Vandenburg.

Wade gets the music from the Sir Elton John songbook started with “Rocket Man”.

Laci chose the Elton John song “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”.

Alejandro chose “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word” for his Elton John performance..and played the piano.

Madison chose the song that launched Sir Elton into a superstar “You Song”.

Laine put down his guitar and closed out the round of Sir Elton songs with a performance of “Something About the Way You Look Tonight”.

Wade gets round three of dedicating songs to their personal heros with “Hard Luck Woman” by KISS.

Laci chose the Fleetwood Mac song “Dreams”.

Madison chose the Bob Dylan song “Make You Feel My Love”.

Laine chose the Beatles classic “Hey Jude” and had the crowd rocking along.

Alejandro closed out the performances with an original song dedicated to his musical mentor Twin Shadow.

Now that the performances are over, it is time to discover which three singers will be moving on to the finals and the hero’s trip home.
