Emerging Rap artist Nipsey Hussle died March 31 as a result of gunshot wounds at the age of 33. Hassle – birth name Ermias Davidson Asghedom – was shot outside his south Los Angeles clothing store – Marathon Clothing.
Hussle broke into the music scene in 2010 selling copies of hat s mixtape out of the trunk of his car. His debut album “Victory Lap” was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards.
During his short career, Hussle has worked with Snop Dogg, Kokane, MGMT, and YG.
Hussle was born August, 15, 1985 in the same Los Angeles neighbourhood where he was shot. A former gang member, he was working to help the younger generation find a better way of life including promoting diversity in the sciences.
He is survived by fiancee Lauren London and children.
