Swing into spring with a Superheroes weekend at The Strong Museum in Rochester, New York March 23 and 24.
Met the newest superhero film star on March 23 when the Black Panther leaps into The Strong from 11am to 4pm on March 23. And on March 24 Spidey himself swings into The Strong from noon to 4pm.
Both superheroes will be available for a meet and greet with fans. The Black Panther and Spider Man will be posing for photos but fans need to collect a ticket one hour prior to photo time. Tickets for the photos are free but limited to one per person on a first come first served basis.
Weekend activities include tips from professional artists featuring “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” comic book artist Sal Otero, info on local comic book conventions, art activities to create crime fighting accessories, and a chance for visitors to test their superhero skills at the Hero Training Camp in the American Comic Book Heroes exhibit.
The American Comic Book Heroes: The Battle of Good vs. Evil features seven decades of comic book heroes who have battled the forces of evil. The exhibit features statues, TV and radio broadcasts, video games, and early comic book art.
Visitors can attend the Super Powers School where they can absorb gamma rays that will enable them to pick up heavy objects, test their super memory, test their super balance, and take flight with the aerial course.
The Strong is open from 10am to 5pm Monday thru Thursday, 10am to 8m Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 5pm on Sundays.
Admission to The Strong is $16 and free for children under two and members of The Strong.
