The Exhibit is based on the Peabody Award winning television series seen on Disney Junior and will take visitors on a backyard adventure. Adventurous visitors can become a doctor in training at the backyard clinic where they can not only learn about healthy habits; but also about nurturing the environment o a hospital as they help six year old Dottie “Doc McStuffins”repair toys and car or stuffed animals.

On opening weekend of the exhibit, visitors can meet with a “toy” doctor, make their own doctor bag, create a “Big Book of Boo Boos”, and play games to learn about parts of the body. Young visitors can learn how to keep their toys in good working order from The Strong’s “toy doctor”.

Upon first entering the backyard hospital, visitors enter the reception area where they hear encouraging messages from Doc McStuffins, Hallie, Sty, and Lambie. Then don a lab coat and get to work lending a hand with the “patients” who suffer with everything from frayed stitches to low batteries.

Visiting “doctors” can scrub up and attend to wounds like torn seams an fill up parts where needed.

There is even a nursery or new arrivals where Lambie baths, diapers, and rocks them with a warm bottle before tucking them into bed.

The exhibit also included a Pet Vet for diagnosing, caring for, bathing, and brushing pets.

Opening weekend activities begin February 9 tom 11am to 4pm and February 10 from 1pm to 4pm.

The exhibit will be at The Strong until May 27.

The Strong is open Monday-Thursday from 10am to 5pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 8pm, and on Sunday from noon to 5pm.
