The past few years have seen a food number of rock bands putting away the touring gear and retiring from the road.

The latest of these bands is hard rockers Slayer who are looking for one more whirl before retiring the tour gear.

Helping to define the genre of heavy rock, Slayer has released 12 studio albums, a number of live recordings, and some 3,000 concerts in the past 37 years, the Grammy Award winning rockers have planned one last tour across the globe as a thank you to their fans before hanging it all up.

Fellow rockers Lamb of God, Testament, Anthrax, and Napalm Death will be joining Slayer in the celebration for the North American tour dates.
