There are thousands, if not millions, of cover a tribute bands and artists around the world. But in the United States , there is only one official Police tribute band – The Police Experience.
And on August 11, the trio gave a performance the Bear’s Den Showroom at the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, New York.
Jim, Mike, And David played the roles of the Grammy Award winning band of Andy Summers, Stewart Copeland, and Sting – complete with an English accent.
After opening the show with “Message in a Bottle”, the trio performed “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic”, “Bring on the Night”, “Spirits in the Material World”, “Synchronicity II”, “Wrapped Around Your Finger”, “Tea in the Sahara”, “Every Breath You Take”, “King of Pain”, “Don’t Stand So Close to Me”, “Walking on the Moon”, “Man in A Suitcase”, “Driven to Tears”, “Da Do Do Do, Da Da Da Da”, “Roxanne” and “So Lonely”. The audience frequently joined in on the singing and even stood up to dance.
While the Los Angeles based band was in the Empire state, they did not perform “An Englishman in New York” but thrilled fans just the same with their performance of some of the Police’s biggest hit songs.
After the show, the band came out and met with fans for photos, autographs, and a little conversation.
