Since he has taken office, President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been vandalized on several occasions; the most recent event totally demolished the star.
However, a unanimous vote by the West Hollywood City Council does not mention the escalating costs involved in replacing the star when they passed a resolution to have the star completely removed from the Walk of Fame. The Council cited the President’s, “disturbing treatment of women and other actions.”
But the popular tourist site is not located in West Hollywood or even Hollywood, but rather the city of Los Angeles itself and is maintained by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber of Commerce President Leron Gubler noted that there has never been a removal of a star from the Walk of Fame. Gubler statex that each of the stars is a part of the Walk of Fame’s, “historic fabric.”
Trump received the star in recognition of his television reality show “The Apprentice”.
Stars on the Walk of Fame are presented after a celebrity has been nominated and gone through the selection process but the celebrity…or studio, record company, etc…. Has paid the $40,000 fee for the star.
