At 76, Sir Paul McCartney shows no sign of slowing down and has been working on a new album.

Taking the title from one of his artistic endeavours – a painting – Sir Paul will release “Egypt Station” on September 7. Sir Paul recorded the album in the United States and in his home country of England.

The first two singles from the album have already been released – “I Don’t Know” and “Come on the Me”.

Speaking on his choice of album title Sir Paul said, “I liked the words ‘Egypt Station.’ It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make… ‘Egypt Station’ starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.” The 14 songs on the album take the listener through a journey from one destination to the next.

The album is currently available for pre-order.
