On a hot and steamy Friday night the Camping World Truck Series takes to the track in Fort Worth and Texas Motor Speedway for the Rattlesnake 400. This weekend the CWTS shares the track with the Indy cars.

With Michael Waltrip in Michigan with the Xfinity broadcast team, Todd Bodine joins the broadcasting crew for the race.

There are 33 teams vying for 32 spots in the race.

After second practice was canceled due to rain on Thursday, seven drivers never got to make a lap around the mile and a half track and will make their first forays onto the track during qualifying.

Todd Peck’s team had issues with the truck and failed to make the five minute clock; as a result Peck did not make a qualifying run.

After two rounds of qualifying Canadian born driver Stewart Friesen put his truck on the pole with a time of 29.17 seconds and will bring the field down for the green flag.

Mike Harmon failed to qualify for the race.

This race marks the halfway point of the regular season for the CWTS. Only Johny Sauter, Nnoah Gragson, and Brett Moffitt are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs after winning races. Sauter leads the way with three wins.

Stages one and two of the race are 40 laps each with stage three lasting 87 laps for a total of 167 laps around the mile and a half track.

Pole sitter Stewart Friesen brings the field down for the green flag start of the race and edges out Todd Gilliland for the lead of the race.

Lap two, the top five are Stewart Friesen, Noah Gragson, Todd Lilliland, Johnny Sauter, and Spencer Davis.

Lap three Noah Gragson passes Stewart Friesen to take over the lead with Todd Gilliland in second.

Lap five Noah Gragson is in the lead with Todd Gilliland in second; Johnny Sauter, Stewart Friesen, and Spencer Davis round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap six when Justin Fontaine hits the wall hard and causing significant damage to his truck.

A few drivers brought their trucks down pit road for adjustments during the caution.

Noah Gragson brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap eleven and holds on to the lead of the race.

Lap eleven Bayley Currey brings out the second caution flag after getting into the wall.

Noah Gragson again brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 16. The new high school graduate battle Todd Gilliland but holds on for the lead of the race.

Lap 18, the top five are Noah Gragson, Todd Gilliland, Stewart Friesen, Ben Rhodes, and Spencer Davis.

Todd Gilliland passes team mate Noah Gragson for the lead on lap 20.

Lap 23 Todd Gilliland is in the lead with Noah Gragson in second; Stewart Friesen, Ben Rhodes, and Johnny Sauter round out the top five.

Lap 25 Todd Gilliand has a lead of over half a second on Stewart Friesen.

The third caution flag of the race comes out when Brett Moffitt gets loose, spins out, and hits the wall.

With the top 10 staying out on the track, Ben Rhodes and Stewart Freisien battle for the lead when the green flag comes out on lap 32. Ben Rhodes has the lead.

Lap 34 Stewart Friesen passes for the lead with Matt Crafton in second; Myatt Snider, Johnny Sauter, and Cody Coughlin round out the top five.

Ben Rhodes has an issue with his truck and is bringing it down pit road with four laps remaining in stage one.

Lap 60 Todd Gilliland has a lead of nearly two seconds on Grant Enfinger with Stewart Friesen, Spencer Davis, and Noah Gragson rounding out the top five.

Lap 63 Todd Gilliland has a lead of over three seconds on Grant Enfinger. There are 17 trucks on the lead lap.

Lap 68, Todd Gilliland’s leas is three seconds over Grant Enfinger with Stewart Friesen, Spencer Davis, and Noah Gragson rounding out the top five.

The fourth caution flag of the race comes out when Bo LaMastus hits the wall hard after apparently blowing a tire.

The green flag flies with only one lap remaining in stage two. Grant Enfinger gets out in front of Stewart Friesen for the lead.

Grant Enfinger wins stage two for his first stage win.

With 87 laps in stage three, the drivers cannot make it to the end without making a pit stop.

After pitting during the last caution flag, Todd Gilliland will bring the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 87.

Lap 100, Todd Gillialnd holds on to the lead of the race. Turning 18 last month, this is just Gilliland’s tenth truck race.

Lap 102, Johnny Sauter once again challenges Todd Gilliland for the lead, but Gilliland holds on to the lead.

Lap 106, Todd Gilliland has a half second lead on Johnny Sauter; Noah Gragson, Matt Crafton, and Spencer Davis round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 107 for an on track wreck between Jennifer Jo Cobb and Myatt Snider.

The drivers are on the very outside edge of being able to make it to the end of the race without making another pit stop.

Lap 114 Johnny Sauter brings the field down for the green flag restart but it is Justin Haley who gets out in front for the lead of the race.

Lap 115 the top five are Justin Haley, Johnny Sauter, Spencer Davis, Todd Gillialnd, and Noah Gragson.

Lap 116, Johnny Sauter passes Justin Haley to take ove the lead of the race.

Lap 120, Johnny Sauter is in the lead with Justin Haley in second; Todd Gilliland, Matt Crafton, and Spencer Davis round out the top five.

Many of the teams are reporting that they are three to four laps short on fuel to making it to the end of the race.

While a few drivers came down pit road for service, leader Johnny Sauter stayed out on the track.

The green flag flies with only 13 laps remaining in the race with Johnny Sauter holding on to the lead; Justin Haley, Stewart Friesen, Matt Crafton, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.

The caution flag comes out with only nine laps remaining in the race for debris on the track after Jordan Anderson hit the wall.

With only three laps remaining in the race the green flag comes out for a shootout to the end. Johnny Sauter holds on to the lead to take the white flag with pole sitter Stewart Friesen in second.

Johnny Sauter holds off Stewart Friesen to win his fourth race of the season and his fifth race at Texas; only one behind leader Todd Bodine with six wins.
