The CMT Music Awards are Country Music’s version of the MTV Music Awards, but they hand out giant belt buckles instead of Moonmen. Taking a page from the Grammy Awards, CMT Awards nominees features several collaborations between Country music stars and artists from a variety of genres.
The CMT Music Awards is a fan voted award. Fans wishing to cast votes for their favourite videos can do so at CMT.com.
This year the award winning group Little Big Town will serve as hosts for the gala event set to take place in Nashville on June 6.
Country duo Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, and Carrie Underwood lead the list of nominees with four each. Hosts Little Big Town, Lauren Alaina, Thomas Rhett, and Chris Stapleton have also garnered multiple nominations.
